kevyluvu | Re: Building a Lightweight 10" Gold Dredge Hey dan is this carbon steel? What thickness is it? Only reason I ask is because we usually grind through 1/4" carbon in 1.5 seasons. |
micropedes1 | Re: Building a Lightweight 10" Gold Dredge Dan, I was looking at your new trijet with the 4" dual intakes. Just a suggestion: If running 2 pumps into a common jet manifold, add a backflow preventer to one side. A flapper type valve works OK. When one pump goes down unexpectedly, the remaining pump pressure will blow the pump seal on the remaining pump. Also add quick connects to ease setup. |

DanfromNY | Building a Lightweight 10" Gold Dredge Ive been working on building a new 10" Gold Dredge to be able to launch from shore this year so that I can lengthen my mining season in Nome till the ocean freezes. This is usually several weeks after the harbor freezes over. I started with a pontoon boat, built a garage around it, the started fabricating components, here are some of the videos so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROsqFB2zkbs&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL |
