Jim, I saw the article but I can't find the link anymore but it was the same article you sent to me on my email a couple of weeks ago.

It was written about a year ago about the history on how this Karuk/dredging issue got started...

harry

Here it is...

I was living in California during the years leading up to this point, and it doesn't suprise me in the least that it still hasn't changed. I personally feel this is all getting out of hand. The only thing that we have seen the "agencieS" involved in the "so called management, more like self empowered control" of !!!OUR!!! GOD GIVEN NATURAL LAW RESPECTING RIGHTS!! Sorry for shouting... do is hinder peoples ability to provide for theirs and their community. I personally think we need to dismantle a specific few "agencieS". Give the people in the community and it's local county elections and voting system the power to make these choices for themselves. "SMALL GOVERNMENT" Even when it comes to the state being scolded. These rescources belong to the people, not a few individuals with a power trip, without evidence, bypassing the system, by in this act itself committing an act of criminal proportions, whew, against the system in which we are to vote on such matters. We have got to take back what was never theirs in the first place..
Just an opinion.. God bless and good mining..

I am posting this for Jerry Hobbs, president of Public Lands For The People. He had trouble logging in.

This lawsuit has the potential to reign in the California Dept. of Fish and Game and their illegal suction dredge regulations.

The complaint is a long, but very interesting read.
