hoppingforpayRe: In memory of my father
Hi Sonny,

Sorry I never got to meet you. I was in Slate Creek area this past Nov. dealing with my dad's stuff. I saw some more possible paystreaks with my more experienced vision but I heard that part of the river is getting the Wild & Scenic treatment.....? The River of No Return....

Good luck to you also, and I hope your wife gets better. Rudd

Hi Rudd: We never got to meet but I have heard many stories about you. Your dad was one of my summer friends dredging on the salmon river I will miss him a lot. He and lupe were always welcome at our house. We never got to see him the last summer because we moved to Lewiston, after my wife got sick. I have a lot of good memories of him over the years Good luck
Sonny

No Man Is An Island

No man is an island,
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thy friend's
Or of thine own were:
Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.
John Donne

I want to thank everyone who was able to attend and participate in my fathers last wish. It turned out well and our family is grateful for the help and warmth we received.

This is a beautiful memory of your dad. I wish I could have known the "friendlier" version of "Big Rudd". I always felt nervous around him (when I was young) When I saw him last summer with Kelley, he actually smiled at me!
Thank you for sharing these pictures.

Rudd,
Your dad would be pleased.
