Mate just history repeating... 1850's 1870's 1880's early 20's 60's nickle, 80's.. its fun - grab some dirt and enjoy the show  it's only just started, wait untill the dollar really goes south and a 1/4 oz is worth over a weeks average wage!!! The rushes of the past will be nothing compared.... no wonder the g men hate gold : )people power baby, fark the gov! : ) Gold is freedom... |

I’m beginning to think the Discovery channel is nothing more than a modern day Samuel Brannan. Curious as to what their ulterior motives are? I wonder if those partaking in this golden drama are having any regrets now, being part of this. This show has certainly awaken the beast. A flotilla of misguided and delusional souls awaits them this year that don’t, that won’t do any homework to find gold. They’ll rely on others to do that for them. Until the crowds get culled, either by the cold water, weather or hard work, that place is going to be a mess. As to history repeating itself… I believe this is Nome’s fourth gold rush. Not sure what the 1930’s had on Nome, but the 1960’s and 1980’s were busy times for Nome. |
