Does anyone have pics, video or drawings of the Keene Hydromatic Jig?

Give me a little time and I'll send you what I have on them. There was a thread years ago but I can't seem to find it.

I own 3 of these and will have to dig around and see if I have any pictures. BillA has 1 also.
Here is 2 links to the archives that I found http://bb.bbboy.net/alaskagoldforum-viewthread?forum=2&thread=732&postnum=0&highlight=hydromatic jig http://bb.bbboy.net/alaskagoldforum-viewthread?forum=2&thread=59&postnum=1&highlight=hydromatic jig The last one has some links to You Tube but I haven't watched them yet. |

I'm curious about the oscillation drive on the HMJ. Was the concentrator moved back and forth via a connecting rod attached to an eccentric on the main driven shaft? What did the driven hopper ride on, sliders? rollers? ball bearings?
This must be quite a machine to see in operation when it is full of water and sand and reciprocating at the rate of 180 rpm. Is it necessary to anchor it to something heavy? Regards Bob P.S. By the way, baub, what are you seeking, pricewise, for your HMJ? |

$900 or best offer. It's in Idaho.

$900 seems good, I paid something more yes, a full tub at startup is overloading everything mine had a bent eccentric arm (no idea if Muley and I did it, or I bought it that way), and it rides on balls on angle iron as much as I like the "jig", it is poorly designed and underbuilt - having said that, rebuilding one is certainly the easy to start go to it, a unique machine Bill |

Hi Bill,
This one is in pretty good shape. I've used it 2x and had a problem when I shut off the water before emptying it. Other than that, no problems. b |

Bill I thought that we used one of my machines when we ran, remember the engine quit and I went and got another one off one of my other machines.
If anyone needs the operation instructions both Bill and I have them, I will be happy to send them out to anyone needing them. Also in Steppe's book this machine is referred too as "Graefe’s E-tank" number 41 onthe liat of 75 ways to recover gold. |

Hi Dan,
lol, I will not contest my memory with anyone - mine is worse !! but it is a fascinating/intricate machine for a dedicated hardware freak - not a weekender kinda machine, it needs more than Keene ever shipped (think upper/lower flow meters) ask Muley for docs as I have access to none of my papers Bill |
