Jim, I read your article in the journal and found it to be concise and well presented. Hope it hits home with many of the miners.

Keep fighting!

It's easy to notice when you go to plot the points on GoogleEarth and can't get that third coordinate figured out.

Thank You kaveman. Out of the places this has been posted or email out to, you are the only one that has pointed out, atleast one, of the corrections to be made. Upon a closer look, there has been a few more.

Corrections:

Re: ICMJ...Mining Districts: A Concept Reborn

Has there been any push yet in Siskiyou Co? We've been telling everyone we know, but I haven't seen any organization yet. I'm as involved as I can be, but that's not going to amount to much being only(barely) part-time visitors. Glad we were able to participate in the last few meetings where all the action was, but it may be six months before we get back this way again. A lot can happen in six months,..................both good and bad. I agree that it's vital for all the miners in each locality to band together and absorb some learning. The battle is just beginning.

I don't understand your question Kave. What do you mean "a push in Siskiyou County?"

This mining district takes in Siskiyou County also.

I talked to the mining district by email yesterday. They are working on a membership system, but don't have it in place yet. They are still working hard on the legal part of forming a mining district.

I asked for a contact person so that people could get on any membership list. I'll let you know when I get an answer.

Re: ICMJ...Mining Districts: A Concept Reborn

That's part of what I was driving at. Although it's one big mining district, the plan is to eventually have it run as separate 'chapters' or 'camps', most likely falling along county lines. The Siskiyou miners will primarily address the Siskiyou issues, with help from the District Seat in Grants Pass. So the question is,.............are there any miners in Siskiyou who are starting to organize? I know it's early, but I won't likely be making any more meetings in the near future and I was curious if there's any activity on the local level.

I know of no plans for different "chapters".

Once everything is in place it will all be laid out in detail.
