Texas Gold Rush coming

Saw this over on the GPAA website. They don't have anything to do with it. Some private promoters are putting it on. Tickets only $500 each. Crazy.

I would think there are much wiser ways to spend $500 that you get a more lucrative return on your money. They are looking for suckers, so these hustlers can separate the suckers from their money.

Wow! I don't know if I should comment on this. Don't think I will
!

You guys elsewhere.... Please don't let something like this %@#t..... cloud your opinions of Texans. Just goes to show that some people will do almost anything to make a buck. Most of us are proud, upstanding, well educated, citizens that don't do things like the aforementioned. We may have very little to almost no gold in our rivers; but, we can have a dream.... right!....or until the enviro whackos....do what they did to the Californians.

Nothing against Texans. These kinds of things pop up all over the place. I just wanted people to be warned.

Einstein, I can not figure out who you are defending in your post. Are you saying I am in the wrong or the promoters of this shindig in Texas?

I am just saying, it could be a new way to separate you from the gold in your pockets. $500 seems like a lot of money for some searching for hidden gold coins and listening to country and western music. Ohand drinking Shiner Beer.

Hell, I am a well educated ex-Texan myself. I am not slamming Texans. I am suspicious of scammers in Texas though.

Re: Texas Gold Rush coming

From what I understand Texas has a lot of gold. It isn't the kind you will find in Alaska but it's Gold just the same. If you can get hold of the right maps they show a prehistoric ocean beach that runs all the way from the NE corner of Arkansas through the SE corner of Oklahoma and all the way down through Texas into Mexico. A friend of mine did a lot of testing on this he said he had found Micron Gold all the way to the Mexico border.

There is one depocit of this that I have been to in SW Arkansas. It is on private property and the owner of the land showed me two assay reports on it that both stated 20 to 30 oz Gold and up to 200 oz of Silver per ton. I saw the gold and the silver that was recovered from the assays. The rock it is in is a real hard mud stone. It was deposited much like sand stone is but it is real dark and real hard. The rock is about 10' deep in the ground and the layer is about 8' thick. The owner of the land has drilled a huge several acre area and has found the same rock over a large area.

It was about 5 years ago when I was down there and the owner was 85 then so he is probably not with us now. He couldn't work the deposit and refused to let the pro's in on it. This friend of mine says he has found this same kind of mud stone all the way down through Texas. He also did some testing on this deposit and got a bunch of gold from a small amount of ore.

As more is learned about Micron Gold Texas could become one of the largest Gold producing states.

OK.....

Geo Jim....I was purposely being vague. I really didn't want to make comment; but, I felt compelled to say something on most Texans behalf. To clarify......I follow your type of thoughts; and, I do not side with the promoters. Go Raiders!....TTU 1985 BS Geology & Engineering

You and I could both be wrong....someone could have made a great discovery in Texas....but, I don't think I am ready to shell out $500 to find out. Maybe it's just the price that makes this whole thing seem like "snake oil". I've been on many outings in Texas for $50....and you go for the experiences, comradery, Bar-B-que, etc., and don't have to feel like you've been taken when you go home with only a speck or two.

Art.....You are correct about micron (float) gold in Texas. I have heard of the assays myself. I was referring to the chunkier stuff that you can actually put your hands on...and actually see with the naked eye in a pan or sluice after a cleanup. - Flash in the Pan!

Re: Texas Gold Rush coming

einsteinlivesintexas,

From what I understand the promoters are going to buy gold, bullion, coins, nuggets, etc. and bury it in a cordoned off area and the people that have paid to enter will hunt for this gold and what you find you keep.

Re: Texas Gold Rush coming

But if you read the stuff the posted on GPAA they have not bought the gold yet. They are waiting for a better price? Unless there is some independent third party involved how do you know if they ever buy any gold to plant????
