Interesting hand powered crusher

Small, simple, hand crusher for small sample sizes.

It seems like the size some folks seem to want to 'prospect' Quartz / Gold outcrops.

Re: Interesting hand powered crusher

Looked at this crusher a couple times, but having to pack a 34# crusher on my back for on-site sampling doesn't get me too enthused. It would mean packing in fewer consumables which translates to less time on the ground per trip.

If I get back down towards Valdez looking for pocket lodes, I think I'll continue using my pipe crusher. Slow, but much lighter weight.

If there is access by ATV or pick-up, then this crusher might be a good choice for crushing and sampling on-site.

You got it, Mr. T!

Different strokes for different folks.

For a guy who brings back bags of samples at the end of the day it could be interesting. For a "Shoveler" like me it's a curiosity at best.

in the videos, it is clamped down to a table. and, it looks like it needs to be for the leverage.

Harry,

Maybe not 'leverage' but rather to provide resistance to work against.
