OAH,

It isn't like we all haven't done the exact thing. Give it a second shot in a Word file and then copy it into a posting. The word file can be saved until you know everything was planted and sprouted.

Re: bigfoot

First sighting was '62 or '63. Second sighting was '73, I think, third sighting was '75, all were @ night.
1st, was after gathering eggs all night for $1 per hour.
It was standing in a ditch, shoulders and head were all I saw. The ditch was about 6 feet deep. Me & my buddy said, "bear" at the same time. Backed up the car and shined a light, nothing.
2nd was while plowing a corn field. Worked 2nd shift and plowd during Spring from midnight to 3AM or so. It crossed the end corner and Stepped over a fence. Now my fences are to keep cattle in, and I have to climb over them or through them. I'm 6 foot 3, weight 215. I went to the barn, put the tractor up and went to the house. Never told anyone for years, much less put it in writing.
3rd, while night hunting. It was following me, step for step. Shined the light, thought it was a bob cat, eyes too high, higher than mine off the ground. Dogs were about 1/2 mile running. Called them in, they would not track it.
I qualified twice to hunt in World Championship Coon Hunt, in the '70,s. I had great dogs.
Bears? There are bears here, and my friend killed one with a pocket knife. Have it on video tape. Had 4 dogs on him and a $2000 pup in his mouth. Couldn't shoot him for the dogs. He tried to pry the bears mouth open, couldn't, so he cut his heart out.
Now you guys can scoff all you want, say stupid things, cause that's what people do when they don't understand the issue.
The coal miners would scare us kids about "old 3 toes," but we figured it was to keep us away from their stills. Maybe not.
A shallow mind holds little water and water is the life of all living things.
A few thousand have seen Bigfoot, a few million have not, the majority rules and pokes fun at others, not polite.
I might be called a "hillbilly", mountain man, but I also sold my business which I ran for 33 years, retired, drive 4x4, and a Cadillac.
As far as a dead Biggfot goes, you don't find a lot of bear bones, unless it's near a road, or one that was shot and got away.
I re typed this in a short form, not to bore some that thinks it is a joke.
I still go to the mountains @ night and the worst thing there are the rattlers, and some even handle and play with them, not me, but I don't call them stupid, and poke fun.

Re: bigfoot

For all you naysayers:
It is against the law in most states to shoot a big foot, and it is against Federal Law to make contact with an alien being.
I'm asking, if they do not exist, why are there laws on the books stating the above?
I don't care how many hours you are in the woods, and claim you've never seen one, but if you Are spending a lot of time out there, you can bet your azz they've seen you.

Re: bigfoot

Thank you, OAH! Great report.

Please don't lump all non-seers as 'fun-pokers'. Many here (not all it seems) appreciate your information and your tenacity in confronting (again) the shallow 'fun-pokers' that seem to crawl out of the woodwork.

Thanks again!

Joe
( A majority 'non-poker').

Re: bigfoot

I think the most likely reason you guys dont see Bigfoot in AK is the cold.. They probably prefer warmer climates...they say that they best place in the world to see or hear a Bigfoot is the Molalla river in Oregon
http://www.oregonbigfoot.com/county_results.php?county=clackamas.
So more than likely. Just looking in the wrong spots

Geo doesnít wanna admit it. But the reason WHY he was flying over all those remote areas, was in search of one. Thatís why heís so bitterly against their existence..All that fuel for the plane was SPENDY!

Me personally..Never seen one..

Couple of years ago I was staying on Cow Creek down near Riddle Oregon. I'd been there a week or so, and was loving it. I had set my sluice up in a nice spot, and was slowly processing the material and leisurely observing all the natural beauty that surrounded me...The creek was running high and fast and there were a lot of branches flowing by me.

Above me, a hawk was circling. I was watching it slowly getting lower in the sky kind of right above me.

Out of my peripheral vision I saw what I assumed to be. Braches flowing toward my sluice. Still watching the red tail above me which was now tree top level and descending...the "stick" flowed right into my sluice and got hung up in it. Thinking nothing of it whilst still watching the hawk..I reached down to remove the stick from the box. When I grabbed it. I knew instantly that it wasnít a stick at all..It was a snake..A big long snake that I was somehow now holding in my hands!

Naturally my reflex action was to fling it away. But in the process, I kind of jumped up at the same time..Kicking over my sluice box with hours of pay dirt already run through it..And me falling straight back onto my butt in the freezing cold water!

The red tail above me quickly ascended up and away. It dawned upon me then why that thing was coming down so low..It was hunting SNAKE! Ha-ha..

Never did find out what kind of snake it was..I love to tell the kids it was a western diamond back for kicks n giggles..Haha
