What to do to do not have water in mask? (not to shave beard) Today I spent nice dredging day, but that damned water in my nose...

That's easy. Put a little Vaseline over the whiskers before you don your mask. Been doing that way for years.

Re: diving mask vs. beard

use a full facemask that seals to your hood, doesn’t touch your skin or beard.

i trim and shave a small slot across at the top of stash and bottom of nose. use a mask that has a very skinny seal at the bottom. u can add some bag balm to the mask too. dont use any oil base gel like Vaseline. it will stain and can deteriorate the mask.

Klondike, you may be right about the Vaseline staining a bit. But where I dive, the mask will get broken way before staining can ever set in. Also, the good grade sealed diving masks do not discolor nearly as bad as the cheapie ones that most dredgers use.

Bill, send me an email. I need something.

Honza,

Welcome back, it's been a long time, nice to see you posting on this forum again!!

Nice looking stream, are you getting good gold from there?

We would love to see some of the gold you're getting!

I have the same problem with my beard and face masks, but a little Vaseline does the trick for me as well.

Regards,
Skip
