I bought some fox urine at Ft Greens today. Will I need to add any glyceride to keep it from freezing once the cold weather hits?

Many urine's come with a certain amount of glycerin already mixed in but for colder temperatures you might have to add a little more yourself.
Test it, if it's -10F and its starting to chunk up, add a little more glycerin until you've reached the freeze proofing you're looking for at the lowest temperature you trap at. |

Du you just put pure glycerine to the urine or is the glycerine first mixed with water?
I've read that a mix of 60% glycerine and 40% water have the lowest freezing point. Can I then just substitute the water with urine? Does glycerine have any drawbacks when mixed with urine, lures or baits? I mean can it take away smell or make animals suspicious? /Markus |

Try adding a couple of bottles of a good gland lure to the urine. It will spike up the smell and a good quality gland lure usually has enough anti freeze in it to keep it from freezing.
