Well, with winters the way they are, I'm always looking for things for the kids to do. This way, they've got something fun to do & they're not always in front of the T.V. This past weekend I made them goop to play with. It was their first time playing with it and they loved it.
Goop 7 Tbsp cornstarch 5Tbsp water Put cornstarch into a bowl. Add water and stir. (It won't be easy to stir.) I add a couple of drops of food colouring to make it more appealing. That's it. Give them a couple of spoons and they love scooping it up and touching because of it's WEIRD texture. You can pick it up in a spoon or between your fingers, but as soon as you stop squeezing it the mixture turns back to liquid. It's easy to clean up.

Thanks for that Daisy - Ive made Nadia some playdough this morning and she has been playing with it all afternoon though there are bits of playdough all over the place - lucky for tiled floors
If anyone wants the playdough recipe I can post it up Im assuming cornstarch is the same as cornflour.

I do think they are one in the same. Go ahead and post up your recipe, I'd be curious to know how YOU make it.

Also this makes a good amount of playdough - So usually I make one batch with red food colouring and then once its cooked i split it into 2 spread it out over my workbench and pop a few drops of yellow food colouring and knead it through and I get orange playdough as well as the red
