the summit 29th april

crag x people want to take me on be there or be square.

come on show me your better than me and kick my ass,
lets have a 70's style dance off.

with the only difference being at a rockclimbing gym,
a climb off.

i feeling strong too

Sure, chances are I may still endup with my fly down in a pile of glass, but at least I will know I have had fun geting there, and I won't be at a smelly gym comp!

come on guys have a go, itll promise alot of great, if not classic boulder problems, even though they are on plastic. I know id rather be outdoors but im setting for the comp (i think) so i gotta be there, i wouldnt mind heading out to the glen though, i have a feeling a few of the outdoor areas will be alot more quite.

Ha ha nice try wyt but is doesn't look like anyone is going to take the bait. Maybe your right, we are all just way to scared of the effect such a blow could have to our over inflated egos.

I am sure it would be alot of fun mate but it is just not for me right now. Hope it goes well.

No disrepect wyt, but a lot of the guys on this site boulder and/or climb at a good enough standard to be competitive in these comps but choose not to because weekends are for real rock or real responsibilites (kids, families, jobs...etc).

anyway, Hope the comp does go well for the gym.

Well I am gonna pop in at the start of drinking cos the bottle shop's around da corner and see if any guys are gonna come out after for a few more drinks after they get all that stinky sweat off them cos its piss up and party prob taxi it out to Rouse hill or sumpin........whitey what time ill stop in and chats anyways .......been a while ......will need some BBBBBBerrocca or anything just as good for a pick me up for the next moring too ya knows hehehehe!!!........... yas gonna put a shirt on and come out after that workout huh? :tongue:

its called support moron
dont climb i dont care come along and watch its fun and free to watch if your a tight ass thats your problem.
we have great setters setting for the comp.
the money that you spend goes too;

5 bucks from every 30 goes to the aca for support.
with whats left over we pay;
the setters.
and then split what we have left for the finalists

its not money that you throw away its for a good cause and there isnt enough support out there in our sport .
did you know rock climbing isnt a registered sport in australia

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh ummmm very very seedy!!! Was a great day, had a good perve, must add.... not a good idea to start climbing after getting back to gym drinking and getting ready to go out for big nite with big chunky shoes on. *mental note* don't jump off from great hights.... sore(ish foot) but all ok, the alcohol starts to work as a pain killer after a while..........head hurts still so its past my bed time and I have to work tomorrow, not like some! nite all *yawns*

Tom Farrell won mens, Sam Berry the womens..

Pretty low turn out from the big guns. Everyone must be away or had something better to do.

Another thing you mention is that there is not enough support for 'our' 'sport'. I think you & I participate in rather different activities.

i could not enter the comp as i set for the comp and work at the gym so that was a no go for me. i had a great day anyways flashing alot of problems afterwards.

As for the big names alot are injured and alot are overseas.

maybe next year there will be more time to organise things like dates for the comps. not many people thought there was going to be a series this year because it took to long to organise the dates

the comp went great every thing went smooth. the only thing that happened that was bad was a lady lost her phone in the gym and when we called it they had turned it off. so my guess was it was stolen.
the kids climbed great they had a ball our training kids done well but not well enough to take home any trophys maybe next time.
yes i was on the mike all day it was cool i was kind of pissed that i couldn't enter but a least i was there.
all the workers that were there last night did run our own comp we gave our selfs 2 hours instead of 2.5 due to the place being empty for us. and shit did i get spat off some damn hard shit . my total score was 382 i came second.
i think the 8 problems are alot easier to complete than the ten you had to do last year.

i came second competing with the guys at work. if i would have entered the comp proper i would have been 9th or 10th.

i must admit it was funny running around like a headless chook trying to climb hard shit. since the mats had been returned on monday we had to drag this two damn heavy mats around with us to all the problems we attempted. so the pump factor stayed high
