hope this bulletin board becomes an active one... au.rec.climbing has been quiet lately compared to our interstate friends at chockstone and qurank
the blueys rule. i still really a bumbly but 2nding easy high quality multi-pitch routes recently has been fantastic. most of my previous outdoor experience has involved top roping/sport around various sydney crags one day, with suitable partners, i hope to check out nowra and pt.perp, and also in the 'others' category: evans crown (tarana) and mt.kira, the last one being a more reasonable travel time from sydney |

yeah mount kiera has some good climbs but point perp and nowra are absolutely great. Pt perp more so. haven't been to evans crown but would like to. there is heaps around i suppose its just a matter of figuring out where to go first

Tarana is good - improves your footwork no end but i personally think the bolted routes are very runout with high potential for groundfall - can also be bloody cold!

hey
as far as i know, it is stil open access (every time we go, we contact the local NPWS office before and ask - and as long its not commercial or a large group they dont seem too fazed). There is still the native title issue - so if you go it has to be absolute minimum impact (present a nice picture to those keen enough to walk up for the view). |

Dont forget Crag X itself, ie Sahara Points, practically everything is under 20 and all the newer stuff on rings (ie stuff we put up) and the main wall at Sahara on carrots.
