Walked around the rock with the family on the way to Mt buller during the week and saw a lot of choss...is the climbing done on the main wall left of the summit track?
Also what about Tabletop NR just outside wagga...looked like some big walls on that hill? Also in our travels noticed a big orange wall just abov Seaton farm at Weddin Mountains National Park, jus oputsiode grenfel...anybody checked that out up close? |

Climbing at the rock is mostly on the northern end where the rock quality is quite good in many places.
Tabletop has some good rock and routes. The centre tower is the best but does not have a lot of routes. There are some routes on the north and south towers but they are fewer in number and the quality of the rock is poorer. Weddin Mtns Nat. Park has a lot of choss rock and a negligable number of routes. Post edit; The climbing scene in Albury-Wodonga is more active than in Wagga, though it too is pretty quiet at the moment. When spring comes Mt Buffalo is their main target. |
