Brown snake Interact Reply Quote Report To Mod Last Posts Ignore User Global Ignore Whisper Looks like summer has arrived ! My wife had just finished belayed me on the new 22 on Bullet Hole Wall at Berowra. Suddenly the rope on the rope bag in front of her moved ! A brown snake shot out from the rope straight at her. Fortunately it seemed the snake was just as frightened as my wife ... it shot straight past her and into its hole in the rock wall.

On one of my first visits to Berowra I sat on a rock in front of the climb "24" and after a couple of minutes discovered a seething ball of about 100 baby snakes just beside me under some grass growing up against the rock.

I hope it didn't come down from the the hole on the starting jug on the route!! that starting hold has a big deep hole at the back of it. What did you think of that route? It seemed harder than the other 22's there but its always easier when you know how Scones of Doom (23) seemed easier. The snake seems to live in a hole in the wall on the right, although who knows where he/she takes vacations.
