Northern NSW

Hello guys,

I was wondering if any of you had information about climbing in the Tweed valley.

By this I mean south of the QLD boarder (or close enough and no frog is not close enough) east of Nimbin and north of Byron ??

Re: Northern NSW

hi vama,
i dont know much about stuff up there other than climbing on mt warning which is pretty serious and remote. one place to try might be the queensland based forum which is very active (hopefully this site will get there).
you can find it at
http://pub27.ezboard.com/bqueenslandclimbing
hope this helps.

do you live up there? because there is great climbing a little further south at grafton. nice sandstone sport and trad climbs

Re: Northern NSW

shawkshaw,

Im also on qurank. However i thought i would try and get some posts and discussion going down here.

Im a tweed valley local, living in Brisbane (for uni). Ive heard about Grafton, however it would be sweet to get a crag within an hour of home.

I know that Mt Jerusalem has some stuff on it but i have not checked it out yet. Hatton’s bluff and somewhere out near doon doon has some climbing too. D'bah also has some boldering and 10m top rope climbs, For anyone around that area. Actually i guess that D'bah would have to be NSW's most northern crag as it is literally on the boarder, half of it is in QLD the other half in NSW.

Re: Northern NSW

Isnt most of the stuff up there in Nat Parks, with the usual climbing restrictions?

When you do start to put new routes up, make sure Crag X gets to list them:smile:
