Just wanted to say thanks to whoever installed the steel ladder at the top of the chimney access to Belgian tourists wall. it may have been there a while but i havn't been there since last year.

Ahhh.....Steve! Whats wrong with the stairs? Just another erosion point created by climbers.

nothing. but people were using that way long before the ladder appeared. now its just a little safer (ie your less likely to fall)

I kind of agree with burroughs. I gave up on that descent and was using the stairs because it was awkward. this was probably a situation because it focussed the traffic on the established track. Doesn't probably matter though because there are a thousand tracks through there anyway.

ive got plenty of U's rod. they are pretty sweet! nice and small (ie not much bigger than a ring in the rock) you know you want to.
