Either head right from the top of Zig Zag or keep going left past Engineers Cascade. It's a small steep area and mostly eliminates.

It's near Mt Victoria. Go down Innes Rd which becomes Kanimbla Valley Rd and walk down the fire trail at the end keeping the valley on your left until you get to a small clearing and take the track leading north until it turns right and drops down left into a small gully and follow until Four X appears on your right. My request is: Does anyone know of other good bouldering areas in the Blueys other than the Medlow Bath and Upper Shipley ones? Surely there must be much more in the Mts than Sydney which has tons of excellent bouldering!

Yeah but no one really goes up to the Blueys to boulder, The mountains is where you go to do some of the best big wall and sport climbing in Australia!!
In saying that there is a cool little bouldering area down the bottom of Zap Crag that ive been to on a rainy afternoon. It's on the road to Mt York under the power lines, it has a little mention in the new Blueys guide. |
