Beta and Partners Blue Mtns Climbing 10-14th of Oct

Hey guys, I'm flying into Sydney on the 10th and flying out again on the 15th.

Im looking for some beta on where to stay (easiest place to get access to Sport climbing in the blues) Currently looking at Blackheath area, or is Katoomba better to stay at? Is there like a campground/backpackers where everybody stays, eg easy to find partners?

Can I get away without hiring a car?

Anyone looking for a partner to climb with? 4years exp, coming off injury so climbing around 21-22 at the moment clean/ onsight 18-19, always willing to climb from sun up to sun down.

chuck me a email or reply to this thread

Allan
1. Blackheath has the bulk of the sport climbing.
2. There is bush camping (car required unless discreet), a paid campground and paid accomodation.
3. You don't need acar if you are sport climbing around blackheath, if you want to explore you want a car, unless you like walking.
4. The blue mountains climbing is very spread out. You can generally pick up partners at the blackheath sport cliffs on weekends but I'd recomend some retard net hassling.
5. You are climbing at a grade that make the most of the bluies.
