 Mulder was ill with 'flu and confined to bed or the couch. Every time he went to sleep he dreamt that someone was painting his portrait. Returning from a trip to the bathroom he found a painting carfully laid by his couch and no one in sight! The door was locked and Scully and Skinner are both out of town and the Lone Gunmen didn't know he was ill. Then he saw her the ghostly artist. Oh noooooo!!! To be contined lolol |

The painting proves this. The image of Mulder is slightly distorted, as if it was painted by someone with a fever...someone who needs care and attention. Just look at those big, sad eyes. The big clue that Mulder is the artist is that Mulder is holding a palette in the painting. I know that Mairead is watching over her muse, but I hope Scully gets home soon. Jamie |

Ah the plotline has been revealed, well done Sherlock! 'Phew', Mairead wipes the sweat from her brow 'Don't have to write the story now yippee!!!' But I will leave you with the postscript:-Mulder quickly recovered from the 'flu and was back at work before Scully returned. She wasn't happy to hear that he had to take care of himself with the 'flu while she was away. He gave her a present of his self-portrait saying she was there all the time since he always keeps her close. Mairéad |

I'm sorry that we won't get to hear the whole rest of the story, but I am happy that we got a synopsis. If Mulder paints while he is sleeping, what else does he do. Does he cook? Does he write? Or does he spend his sleep time amusing Scully? Jamie |

Well I put your question to Mulder and he said he doesn't paint in his sleep he was, as you originally suspected, painting in a fevered state. He also said he doesn't sleep with Scully so he can't answer the second part of your question but maybe someday who knows ... I didn't let him finish answering that one for private reasons ... now where did i put that medical kit? Mairéad

You might have something there ladies i have trained cctv cameras on him as he sleeps on his couch and in the studio bed I will hopefully have some scanned images for you in the near future of his er ... nocturnal activities.Mairéad [already wondering if might be able to sell them on e-bay ] |
