Hate to be a wet blanket but the USA website doesn't have anything about this in their "Series" section. You would think that they would be advertising a new series at least on their website if it was set to premier.

Of course they're still not listing TLAD at 8PM on the 30th on the schedule they post on the website. Wierd.

Hope this is going to a series and that 12 episodes will be available for viewing.

Here are the dates and times from the TV Guide Listings. It looks like it'll be on a few times in case you miss the first run on the 30th.

Vida, I'm going in for surgery in January but I'll try to send you a copy of the show if you can't find it scheduled to air in your area. :smile: Let me know.



ETA: This promo was on USA this afternoon. You may have a bit of trouble the first time viewing it but after you've watched it once it should be OK.

That second promo was better then the first! It really looks like it has potential. I'm just wondering, how you make an assassin sympathetic or endearing?

Thought the show was fun and Shiri did a great job. It was nice seeing her in a roll where she looked like she was having a good time. If USA does have episodes in the can and starts to air them, I'll be there watching.

Well, Shiri certainly found her "calling". She did a great job (I agree nitpick) this was the first time that I felt she was comfortable with the roll. She was natural and at easy and she looked like she was having fun. BRAVA, Miss Shiri! Man, she sure wore her some short skirts LOL but if anyone can wear them it's Shiri. :wink:

Make that two; If USA does more episodes and decides to air them, I'll be there watching too.

ETA: Vida and Debi, you're going to love it. I'll work tonight to get the DVD in the mail to you tomorrow. I'll try to put up a few clips later in a couple days.

It was totally cute - even my hubby was snorting at a couple of the scenes. Needs a bit of work (its a pilot - what doesn't) but if they do make it a series it will get sorted out and everything will kind of mesh more.

Loved the show - Shiri really did seem to enjoy herself and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the show gets picked up. I wonder if she did her own stunts!

I've have the clips of To Live & Die (the whole movie in 7 parts) but I don't want to put them up here due to copyright and stuff. vgdreamer you should be all set. When you come on to the board just look for the board that says WATCH TO Love and Die it's right under the Shiri Appleby Board. Let me know if you have any problems viewing it.

The one thing that I feel holds the series back is the premise, hired assassins. What to they do for the series? Murder of the week?

All of the other strange characters that USA has in their line-up are basically good people with some really wierd quirks. I don't know if a group of hit-persons is something to build a series around, especially something that's supposedly light.

I know, I know, the Sopranos lasted for years with rave reviews and great ratings, but that was a hard core drama on HBO. USA's characters are usually tongue firmly placed in cheek.

I have to disagree with you on that one. USA airs Law and Order, used to air Silk Stalkings and I believe La Femme Nikita. Its not a ABC Family. The premise, imho, is funny and quirky, hired assassins who only kill bad people? Its a perfect fit for USA.

Forgot about La Femme Nikita. She was an assassin wasn't she. And I guess you could look at Gabrielle Anwar's role in Burn Notice as a pretty cold blooded killer. And it is played for chuckles.

Vida, I'm doing OK, thanks for asking, I go in for my operation tomorrow morning at 5:30 AM! :shocked: I hope the surgeon is awake cause I'll certainly not be. LOL I think it's cold all over. We've had freezing cold here too but thankfully just a dusting of snow here on the Jersey shore where I am. We've had pretty mild winters the last few years looks like Mother Nature has put here foot down this year though.

Good morning, folks ~ I wanted to let y'all know that Donna's sister just called with the good news that Donna is out of surgery and everything went well. She is still in recovery right now, and of course is feeling a lot of discomfort. She should be able to go home from the hospital tomorrow, so hopefully we'll hear from her herself in a couple of days or so.

Hey guys! I just got off the phone with Donna and she's doing very well. Yay! Said that she's been sleeping a lot since she got home (apparently the hospital was very noisy and not conducive for resting, what the heck is up with that?) and just taking it easy. She said to thank all of you for your well wishes. Hopefully she'll feel like posting before too much longer. :smile:

Glad to hear that Dee is home and feeling a bit better, pain killers are great.

Hospitals definitely aren't a place to get any rest, too many noises from the beds self-adjusting to the IV alarms going off. Now that she's home she can really recuperate.
