Welcome to the GM8 forum. The purpose of this forum is to allow GM8 participants to review and rate the army composition and background stories of their opponents. These ratings will directly impact your opponent's scores, so please take some time and think about how you rate each army list. For each army list and each background story including your own you must assign a rating using the poll in the appropriate thread. Below is a list of suggested criteria to follow when assigning a composition score, or judging a story. You may choose to follow these guidelines, or ignore them completely. | |

The swirl of fates clouding Annidainn Aieklar's vision coalesced into the Eye of Ishta, but he had learnt to not grasp this thread, and soon it faded back to into the chaotic swirl of the futures that may be. Soon the Eye would return or the thread of the outcast or possibly that of the warrior. This uncontrollable cacophony of fates had elevated Aieklar from the rank of Warlock to that of Farseer, but in Sol-Belah being forced to change ones path is an ill omen.
Sol-Belah; a word with so very many meanings and connotations. The simple words "One Path" are a reminder of the past glory and fall of the Eldar race, a word of hope for the future and a way of living in the present. Philosophy. World. Mantra. Sol-Belah! Alien behaviour to non-Eldar, Eldar thrive while living the One-Path of Sol-Belah. This is simply illustrated by the growing population of the craftworld. The youngest of the new craftworlds founded since the Fall, Sol-Belah now has a population of five times the next largest of these new worlds. The Fate of Sol-Belah has been a great puzzle to the Seer Council for millennia for all visions of Sol-Belah's future show Sol-Belah being "born in the Eye of Terror at the arrival of the Great Devourer." Yet the craftworld has existed for centuries and the Great Devourer arrived at the time of the Fall. The arrival and announcements by otEsdainn Beylan, yesterday in the council chambers, unraveled these tangled and confusing visions. Shadowseer Beylan brought news of an infernal crusade being launched by Chaos Lord Abaddon from the Eye of Terror. Providing him with near immeasurable destructive capability are two Devourers, known to the humans as Blackstone Fortresses. Even though Sol-Belah is a vast distance from the Eye and can not be immediately threatened by these foul servants of Chaos, it was obvious to all on the council that this Chaos threat must be opposed by all means. The Seer Councils from near-by Craftworlds disagreed. They would not send a Eldar War Host to aid the mon-keigh. Left with little choice, the Council of Sol-Belah elected to assemble a battle group and deploy it to the Eye of Terror under its own banner, fulfilling the prophesy that Sol-Belah will be born in the Eye of Terror. To get the warhost to the Eye of Terror in time to oppose the Chaos Horde would be impossible without use of the webways and the expert guidance by otEsdainn Beylan. The Shadowseer is also critical for the upcoming campaign, allowing this small force to move rapidly from engagement to engagement, attacking the enemy at their weakest points and retreating before a counter attack can be launched. Leading the Sol-Belah warriors is the first Warseer of Sol-Belah, Annidainn Aieklar, who is the first follower of Sol-Belah to leave the path of Farseer to trod a new path that is both Warrior and Seer. His bodyguard is Exarch Toben-Amed and an honour guard of seven EsikCaman. In addition to a dozen grav-sleds for carrying equipment and supplies, Annidainn Aieklar has been given use of one of the craftworld's WaveSerpents.
Forming the core of the Sol-Belah warhost are the valiant EsikCaman. Unlike other craftworlds, Sol-Belah does not have a contingent of Guardians within its population. When citizens of Sol-Belah are called to leave their peacefull paths as citizens to participate in a warhost, they undergo an intense ritual and deep mediation, suppressing their current life and summoning the warrior the once were. Success in this ritual allows them to function fully as the Aspect Warrior they once were, but requires they sacrifice their cherished memories and experiences they gained since leaving the warrior path. Completing the warhost are the specialist warriors: OtBuanna to provide fire support, KaimKurom to attack vehicles and fortified positions and finally the MeanTokath to engage and destroy the enemy in close combat.
