(Hangs head in shame)
I have never had Krispy Kreme... I hear good things but, alas, I have never partaken in their donutty goodness. |

Aren't "Krispy Kreme" donuts the ones that have the fat content that takes arterial cholesterol and heart disease to a whole new level ?
Never had them myself, rarely eat donuts otherwise. Probably because I don't drink coffee and the neon "Tim Horton's" signs don't have any subliminal strangle-hold over my subconscience. ![]() T42 / John ![]() |

I've heard a single donut has the fat content of two Big Macs...but that could be just an urban legend....or could be the norm for a donut.
Either way, I gotta bring some back with me for, uh, friends...yeah, that's the ticket, I have have friends who are addicted. Skinny friends mind you, but friends all the same ![]()

On Discovery channel they compared the fat and carb content of the 3 top doughnut chains, then had a taste test of a few people. If memory serves, Krispy Kreme was off the charts, it's fat content was like 5 or more times the next highest Tim Hortons, and the carbo's were 3 times the amount of the next highest Tim Hortons. 2 out of 3...or was it 3 out of 5 liked Krispy's best, the other 1 or 2 said it was just far too rich. I think they all said they were good, but could only eat like 1 a week. LOL.

I wonder how long that journalist, who did the "McDonald's Diet", would last on Krispy Kreme donuts?
![]() IIRC, he was hospitalized at Day 22 (or so) of his month-long epic journey through the world of Rotten McRonnies high cuisine. ![]() T42 / John ![]() |
