Funny that you should post this so soon after I beat Mega Man 9. This is frickin' sweet.

Is mega man 9 worth buying Jordan?

So here's the deal. It's classic Mega Man action. No charge buster, no sliding, just you,
a gun, and the robot masters (and their guns). If you liked Mega Man 2, it's most similar to that in gameplay style. Really challenging, too. Graphics are classic NES Mega Man style, as are the sounds and the music. The music is as awesome as it's ever been, and the NES square-wave musical instruments have been faithfully recreated to give you a complete nostalgic package. Included is a time-trial mode, where if you're obsessive enough to play through each stage hundreds of times to find out and perfect the best and fastest way to finish each level, you can compete against other players worldwide. You can also download and play as Proto Man (for another 100 Wii Points), who can slide and charge his shots. While he jumps, he brings up his shield, which can also deflect some types of enemy bullets. Did I mention that these deflected bullets can damage and kill enemies? Yeah. Suh-weet! In short, I wholeheartedly believe that Mega Man 9 is worth buying. I don't regret my decision to spend Wii Points on it at all.

You should ask Feor (Scott) about his 40k-scale Mega Man conversions. His Proto Man is awesome,
and I forget what other characters he's done. I hope he posts them in the Workshop someday. (HINT HINT)

You mean these guys?
![]() I've only got the three of them (though I keep hunting for a Necromunda Cyber-Mastiff to complete the set, no luck so far) |

Hmmm can I buy them game somewhere? I don't do the download thing...only because Wii sucks overall, and I'm not going to pay Microsoft to play online with my 360. And my PS3...well its use is pretty much limited to Blu-ray player

Mega Man 9 is unfortunately a download-only title. A lot of cool little games are going that way.

Unfortunately? Why would reducing the cost of doing business by using the most efficient distribution system in the world be unfortunate?
Or do you prefer that the developers lose most of their profits to the middlemen...

I think it's unfortunate in the sense that you need a wii to download it.

I think the Wii is unfortunate. Meaning mine has sat in a tupperware box with 11 hours playtime since I bought it on launch day 2 years ago...

Well, I meant "unfortunate" from J_O's perspective, him being an individual who seemed as though he would want to purchase a boxed copy of Mega Man 9 in some store where such things are sold. I personally love the whole idea of digital distribution, use Steam and Wii Virtual Console extensively, and really can't wait to say my final goodbyes to having to shove a CD into my drive every time I want to play a game on my PC. I also prefer developers getting the profits directly rather than having to surrender most of it to idiot retailers and publishers. Valve is a trailblazer in this regard, and I verily hope that other developers follow suit. You and I do not disagree on this.
