Re: Alternate electoral systems Interact Reply Quote Report To Mod Last Posts Ignore User Global Ignore Whisper The biggest issue with the american system is clarity in a canadian federal election we currently vote for 1 thing (our MP) and there may be another vote for a referendum or two its is fairly easy to make an informed decision without clouding the issue the american system has tones of different candidates on the ballot running for tones of different things, in fact it is even possible to have the same candidate show up in more then one place representing different parties there is a high chance that people make uninformed votes on numerous, seemingly less important, issue..
