i was fired from my job last monday, and i really worked my ass off; they said that i just couldn't get it; i have been a nurse for 14 years and decided to go into to clerical nursing; what really sucked is that they gave me no warning; i spent close to 1000 in insurance premiums for three months and never got to use it. the job stressed me and i was ready to leave; but i did my job; i was never trained properly and now i don't know what to do with myself. i was really getting into studying magic, and reiki, and i feel like i am losing the mindset for it. i feel like the more you try and help others, the more you get screwed in the end. i am fairly new to magick, and i have so many unanswered questions. i'm trying to figure out what brought me to this desire. i have loved unicorns all my life, i use to sit and draw stars whenever i was bored; i love looking at the moon especially when it's full; looks like it has a face looking at me and purple has always been my favorite color. i did a spell before i got this past job, and now i have no work. am i doing something wrong?
thanks uni43 |

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation.
I'm no career expert (aw, hell I'm still deciding if I want to do art, education, or just rake in royalties from some amazingly-written novels. Oh, the woes of entering adulthood). But, I understand that you weren't in clerical nursing for your entire 14-year nursing career. What is that, like... books and stuff? (sorry, I come from a family of farmhands and WalMart cashiers. No nurses. I understand that, from your intro post, you're real into healing and such. Perhaps a more personal approach to nursing would be in order? A more one-on-one helping and healing type thing, in the way that nurses do. Ooo! Purple is one of my favorite colors, as well. Wear purple more often. I love seeing it on people. Ever seen 'The Color Purple'? "I think it pisses God off when you walk by the color purple (in a field) and don't notice it." Do you have a pendant of a moon or something similar? Wear that, too. Surrounding yourself with things you love (moons & violet shades) is a sure way to attract positive feelings within yourself. Since you have such a great affinity for the moon, perhaps do a little research on moon deities. Think of it as your personal patron, and recognize it anyway you see appropriate. I do remember something about unicorns being tied to the moon. . . I'm not entirely sure what to make of the spell thing. What did it entail, exactly? Perhaps you might want to view your job loss as a blessing? "Doors" and "windows" and all that jazz.

thanks for the response. i do believe in healing and one on one, but as an lpn sometimes your decisions about the way people are treated medically or physically doesn't stand well with the "higher ups" ; aint nothing wrong with farming and walmart. before i got this job, i was going to go to retail, and i might do that again. thanks for your insight on the moon and unicorns and the color purple. i will try to wear it more often and i will make a pentagram and once i get out of my depression which comes on and off, i will start working on myself and try to see things more clearly. and i do look at this as a blessing in disguise. i've never gotten fired before, so it took me for a whirl.
thanks for all your advice |
