"Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I'll meet you there." ----- Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi, 13th century Sufi poet.

"Have faith that people do their best. I don't know anyone who would eat with pigs out of a trough in a muddy barnyard if he knew that a well-prepared meal was on the table in a clean house - do you?" Greg Baer

"The Secret in healing Narcissism is not to heal it at all, but to listen to it. Narcissism is a signal that the soul is not being loved sufficiently. The greater the Narcissism, the less love being given." ~ Thomas Moore, 'Care of the Soul'.

I took a step toward healing by looking up some of the info on soul circling and talking to my b/f about some things I found.

I kept my cool and didn't even think about responding when my ex-girlfriend called here four x's Saturday afternoon. I decided to empower myself not to react because that's exactly what she wants me to do.

I'm up to date on all my bills for the first time in my life. By this I mean no back payments overdue, not that everything is paid in full. Still it feels good not to be hounded by the collectors. I'm going to do my best to build on this feeling.

After a year of financial and emotional hell, things are starting to calm down and I am getting back on track. I am especially feeling much more secure financially since I got a raise and I also got another bonus on Friday. :claphands: So now I can work on healing financially and start to pay off some bills. I am also much less stressed out because of this so I am able to devote more energy to emotional and spiritual growth. I am grateful for this group for helping me get through a really bad year. :loveya:

Hi

Today I'm feeling good because I found out that a book that I edited and did the layout for is on the short-list for a State prize (NSW in Oz)!! I completed this book a couple of years ago and it was only the second book that I had been wholly responsible for (not the writing - it's an anthology).

The best part about my day yesterday was that even though the football was painful to watch, I still was a having a good day. It seems that I am working toward a place where I can watch and enjoy the game without having the outcome determine my mood for days, if not weeks afterward. This is somethng I have worked toward for a long time. Among other things it makes the game more enjoyable both for myself and others. :claphands:

To be honest I felt a little bitchy when I woke up this morning but the good news from others about getting their emotional and financial health in order makes me feel good. Its great to see others making progress.

Congratulations on the book, Balbrenny!

Maybe there's such a thing as a positive energy force.

Daddy learned an important lesson this morning about how males stink at multi-tasking. The good news is I didn't burn the house down in the process of learning this lesson. My daughter loves hard boiled eggs and has been after me for a while to include them in her school lunch. I'm not much of a cook but after serious deliberation I decided I could plunk some eggs in boiling water and take out again in 3 minutes. BIG MISTAKE. I no sooner put the eggs in the water when my son screamed at me to help with his math homework that was due first thing. After I helped him I reminded my daughter of the time and said the bus would be coming in 15 minutes. I forgot all about the damned eggs and went into the bathroom to shave and get ready for work. All three kids grabbed their lunch bags without saying a word and ran to meet the bus. It wasn't until I was about to leave when I heard a strange noise in the kitchen. It sounded like something was popping. I decided to investigate and discovered I had boiled the pan dry and eggs were exploding and firing across the kitchen! I haven't figured out what to say when my daughter asks why there were no eggs in her lunch. The important thing is that the house is in one piece and I learned that cooking eggs can be more complicated that it appears. The good thing is I can laugh about it rather than lose my temper.
