"Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I'll meet you there." ----- Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi, 13th century Sufi poet.

"The Secret in healing Narcissism is not to heal it at all, but to listen to it. Narcissism is a signal that the soul is not being loved sufficiently. The greater the Narcissism, the less love being given." ~ Thomas Moore, 'Care of the Soul'.

I'm actually enjoying school, so far. I might even test out of first year algebra. I always wondered what a math brain might be good for and now I know!

There's lots of interesting stuff happening in the family structure right now. Last night I had a long conversation with my Mother about the new twist my therapist has put on my diagnosis. It was the healthiest chat we've had in a long, long time. It'll be interesting to see where this might lead.

Is it Friday yet?

Actually it is for me because I get to attend an all day retreat tomorrow in a fairly remote site in the central Idaho mountains. We are talking about ways to improve the juvenile corrections setup for the state and it could be fascinating or it could piss me off beyond belief. Have I mentioned that I'm tired and kind of cranky today? At any rate I'm looking forward to the retreat because if nothing else it'll be a nice drive.

I accidently overslept by 2 1/2 hours this morning and missed chemistry 101. i feel better having been told by a classmate that I didn't miss a thing. Kind of makes me wish I had been there  The good news is that I am refreshed and ready for a three day weekend. And people said college was going to be hard :cookiemonster:

Good day - Son #2 finish one whole week at kindergarten without anymore problems. (on day 3 - I was pulled aside about defiant behaviour) Staying in ones room with no toys for an afternoon really worked for out for him. (This was harder on me than him I'll admit) Also son #3 (7mos old) is sleeping right now ...ahhh bliss... breaktime!!... :bubblebath: oh and Hubby actually voluntered to come home from work so I can get payroll done!!! TGIF!!

I second the TGIF. We're less than two weeks into the freshman year and the profs are already pouring on homework like we have nothing better to do with our lives.

The best thing is this being a 3 day weekend. Is anyone planning on doing anything fun?

I'm spending this weekend on a private nude beach not too far from where I live in southern California. Need I say more?

My youngest got a painful lesson in cheating. It seems he was got cheating on the first spelling test of the year. The teacher sent him home with a note and unknown to him also called me at the office. So I was prepared for a tense evening and half expecting him to deny this little problem. I admit I was surprised and somewhat relieved when he handed me the note as soon as I got home last night. We chatted about the evils of cheating and how this will cost him on his first report card. He seems sincere in his regret. I hope he is. This is a lesson many of us have to learn the hard way and I'm glad he didn't make it worse by lying.
