Does anyone here remember the song by the Honeydrippers 'The Sea of Love'.
That was our wedding song. I heard it on the radio the other day for the
first time in a long time. It took me back to a time and place of great
expectations and innocence. It was sad yet moving.

i should've known by your nickname, LxL, that you could possibly be a fan of
R Plant
derivatives too, as i am.
i felt a warmth when for whatever reason i had to stop listening to music, i
could finally go back to it with the realisation that it just speaks to the
human condition. i felt alive again. emotions and memories rise and fall in
each of us and i thought it was great when i didn't have to see a song i
loved as being that specific and carrying a sense of dread, love and/or pain
anymore. notwithstanding any of that, it's great that you have cried, it's a
way of acknowledging that there was a loss. i'm trying to say that one day
you'll be able to hear that song in a myriad of other contexts too if you'd
like. maybe it will be just sitting in traffic and relating to the irony of
the sea of exhaust fumes f-cking up such harmonious sentiment....i dunno.
one day at a time though.
i didn't choke back a tear as i thought i would when someone posted mike and
the mechanics "the living years" the other day. my ex had that cd, and i
knew 98% of that really fits how he once felt about his dad. i'm glad of the
closeness i know we did share.
