"Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I'll meet you there." ----- Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi, 13th century Sufi poet.

"Have faith that people do their best. I don't know anyone who would eat with pigs out of a trough in a muddy barnyard if he knew that a well-prepared meal was on the table in a clean house - do you?" Greg Baer

"The Secret in healing Narcissism is not to heal it at all, but to listen to it. Narcissism is a signal that the soul is not being loved sufficiently. The greater the Narcissism, the less love being given." ~ Thomas Moore, 'Care of the Soul'.

Q. Is it really possible to heal NPD?

Cogratulations, friendly. Stay with it man and let us know if you need us for anything. I received enough support from people here that I'm slowly allowing myself to trust others. Its a strange feeling, but one that feels good. Its not universal actually its rather limited. At least its a step in the right direction.

Why do I feel this sudden need to be hugged?

I've got a full day to watch football and solve all my relationship problems. I intend to make positive use of my time. Maybe we should all follow Balbrenny's lead and pamper ourselves today. I will not let my worries effect my relationship with my kids.

Jimmie, so glad to hear the holiday thing has been resolved!
I am going to pamper myself too today-- again-- I did yesterday too. And have a good time with my son.

I just exercised for 40 minutes and feel human again! I wish I was more dedicated to exercise. It is amazing what a HUGE difference it makes as to your state of mind.

2 1/2 hours until my baby boys are home!!!

I just got back from a roundtable discussion on how we can implement healing and compassion into our criminal justice system. It was a long weekend, lots of info, and I'm operating on information overload. But I love it. Coming away from this kind of thing always inspires me to work harder on program development. The energy is definitely flowing and I'm glad life seems to be going well for others. Now I'll slowly catch up. BTW, Mel do you want to do my exercise for me? :cookiemonster:

Yesterday I started the long and slow process of cleaning the house in preparation for the coming visit from my Mother. I expected it to be depressing but instead I found it to be rather uplifting. One part of me is really looking forward to this. Yet there is definitely still a sense of fear. If I allow the positive thoughts to rule you just never know what might happen.

My computer was misbehaving last night and this morning and I was getting more frustrated by the minute. Instead of pouting and throwing a temper tantrum I went through some basic trouble shooting routines and fixed the problem .Its amazing how well life can go when you don't let the urge to pout take control. Now I feel good for having fixed the problem. :claphands:

Another day another hug. I woke up this morning feeling upbeat and positive without really knowing for sure why I feel this way. It dosen't happen all the time but its a lot more often than it used to be. It seems I used to wake up a crank groutch without really knowing why. I prefer this and think its a sign there really is hope.

A friend called last night to cry on my shoulder about problems within his family. It used to be I could never listen to this kind of thing without blurring circumstances and having it be about me and my family. I'm learning about boundaries and last night I found myself able to listen with a degree of compassion without feeling it was all about me. Its a relief to know everything does not have to relate to what's going on in my life.
