I am still feeling a lot of positive energy flow through my body. More so than usual following a session. We ended our time yesterday by discussing games that all people play: the money game, the love game, etc. He talked about a game which I need to embrace: the power game. The power game is about becoming the master of one's own life and making conscious decisions to live in a manner which is in right relationship with the universe. This feels right to me and is something I want to make a conscious decision to work toward.

You do not need to be loved, not at the cost of yourself. The single relationship that is truly central and crucial in a life is the relationship to the self . .. Of all the people you will know in a lifetime , you are the only one you will never lose.

I'm off to see a friend I lost contact with 5 years ago and just recently made contact with. Should be a good lunch.

I was attempting to clean leaves out of my yard and spent like an hour trying to get the leaf blower engine to start. I'm no mechanic and I was getting more and more frustrated by the minute. I was about ready to trash the stupid thing when my neighbor came home and noticed I was having problems. I know he is much more gifted at this kind of thing and he asked if he could help. Normally I would say no, everything is fine. For some reason I said yes and told him the stinkin thing wouldn't start. I've no clue what he did but it was running in a couple of minutes. I thanked him and he smiled as though it was no problem. Most often this kind of thing makes me ashamed because I have no apptitude for mechanics. For some reason I was more grateful for his help then ashamed I allowed someone to help me.

I lost a game of Madden football to my friend and didn't blow my stack or act like a sulking little kid. It was only a game and I seem to have accepted that we can't always win. This kind of lesson has never been easy for me, but I'm glad the message is starting to get through. :ego:

My cat decided to join me in meditation this morning and purred the entire time. Somehow the experience added to my sense of purpose.

I've found sometimes healing means noticing and appreciating the small things in life. This morning was much calmer than the day of the infamous egg diaster. I had time to drink my coffee and read the newspaper before heading to work on time. Its one of the few days in which I didn't start out behind and feel I had to spend all day catching up.

Something positive I am doing for my healing today is having FUN!!! Tonight my students are going to wear costumes to class to give their speeches. So I am wearing a costume too!

And today it is fun putting it all together.

Fun is EXTREMELY healing for me!!!!
I need to do fun things more and more!

Balbrenny- I'm so proud of you for handling that so well!

Today my positive step was to share in marriage counseling some of how my husband has made me feel. It was very very hard. I kept trying to go off into explanations or reasons, and our counselor really helped, saying I should just keep expressing my feelings. This kept me from blaming or hiding out in my head. The words came out painfully slow. Each word was a struggle. But it was healing.

Hestia, that is great that you are able to express your feelings like that!

Zachery, letting go of the need to win all the time is a hard lesson for a lot of people - good on you!!

Taran, what a win-win situation! Your neighbour got to feel good about helping you and you got your leaf blower fixed. Its great that you could accept help without feeling ashamed.

This morning I had coffee with some girlfriends - we do this every Friday morning and it is one of the highlights of my week. We just chat and try to find solutions for each other's problems - everybody offers to help everybody else. The best thing is that they are all genuinely caring people.

I am truly blesed to have found such people in my life.

This thread is very exciting to me. I thoroughly enjoy reading the ways people are finding pleasure and strength in their lives. I am inspired by the challanges and fears so many have faced and have felt good about over coming or dealt with in healthy manners. WOW WOW WOW WOW It is evident that lots and lots and lots of healing is going on.

I had an excellent day. First, I finally sent an email in response to the recent difficulty with my father. I made sure that it did not devalue any of us ... Dad, Sis, or me. Dad responded that he is a better understanding with what I'm dealing with. ya-bloody-hoo!!!

Second ... I got that temporary job!!!! I'm so excited. It will last about 2 months or longer. I will be eligible to apply for it when it opens to the public.

I didn't mention before, though I wanted to ... I was fired from the last temp job I had (fired from 2 temp jobs in a row! ... ARGH) . It was a job from hell. The office manager, the only other person in the office, had a sign on her wall that said, "I'm not a *itch, I'm THE *itch." She went on to prove it. Actually, I was relieved to be let go from that position ... however, I felt a bit bruised after that.

I feel good about this new position and will focus, focus, focus on being the best that I can be.

Cheers! Keep the good news coming everyone!!!
