"Out beyond ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing there is a field. I'll meet you there." ----- Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi, 13th century Sufi poet.

"The Secret in healing Narcissism is not to heal it at all, but to listen to it. Narcissism is a signal that the soul is not being loved sufficiently. The greater the Narcissism, the less love being given." ~ Thomas Moore, 'Care of the Soul'.

I just found out this is my weekend to lead a group of teenage boys on a voctational rehab trip. Not as fun as it sounds given these boys are currently in state custody and generally hate everything. I will say one saved my ass recently by showing me how to unlock my car after I had locked myself in. Care to guess how he ended up with us here at juvie? :evillaugh: This should be interesting.

A very good friend of mine hugged me this morning without any advance warning. I reallly enjoyed this experience. Human contact can be good. A very important message for me to remember.

I had a good night out with my sister. We went to home depot to get building materials for a new hamster home, and then went to McDonalds. It's trash but it tastes good.

You know, of course, where this other world lies hidden. It is the world of your own soul that you seek. Only within yourself exists that other reality for which you long. I can give you nothing that has not already its being within yourself... All I can give you is the impulse, the key. I can help you to make your own world visible. That is all.

I cooked dinner last night without any help or burning the house down. For those who wonder why this is a positive all I can say is you've obvlously never eaten one of my meals. And to that I say you're very lucky. Most people run when they see me in kitchen. :bolt:

One more week of school, and then I can relax.

I'm just returning from kind of a reunion type weekend with some high school friends I haven't seen since the day we split apart the summer after my senior year. Its only been seven years but it feels like a lot more. Everyone looked great and seemed to be happy. Our time together brought back some old feelings and I look forward to keeping in touch with the old group.

I just had a massage and it feels GOOOODDDDD :cookiemonster: Something tells me I'm headed to bed early this evening. If all touch could feel this good I might get used to it.

Tried to post this before but was having technical problems-- in other words I don't know how to use this computer-- anyway my husband has agreed again to divorce counseling-- and this weekend my son and I are going on a little road trip. A bunch of my girlfriends and our kiddos are gathering in Nashville for a little reunion. Should be a blast seeing our kids play together and talking about our misspent youths.

I know I'm not supposed to focus on my son, BUT I'm going to throw in one quick positive. This morning he got a haircut without being forced to do so (I can no longer force on matters of this nature). I dare say its good to see there really is a person walking around under that old mop of hair. :claphands:

Congratulations, Hes. I hope the trip and the marriage counseling work out the way you want.
