People like pills and expect to gather up something at the pharmacy on the way home, of course drug companies are too willing to find something you need. My cousin is a Dr. in California, he tells people to watch what they eat and excersize, boy does he catch hell, that's work they just want pills--- so there's plenty of blame to go around.

Silver ----------- Ya I know , I don't eat right or exercise ( I only run when I'm out of ammo )
I take a hand full of pills every day but only cause they can't fix anything thats wrong with me . There is no surgery for any of it . Casting out the devil might work if I could find some one that would do it on the "cheap" .

Re: Off Topic

Yesterday , O'l whats her name called from work and said she was dizzy and could hardly walk . No big deal , hell I spent the better part of 20 years in the same condition . But she insisted I come and get her and take her to the doctor . (Big Baby)
Tried to get into our regular "drug dealer" but he was all booked up , they over book like the airlines , so no surprise there .
So , went to the "doc in the box" -------- they were full and had to wait about an hour to see the "almighty" .
Got script -------- left .
I told you all that so I could tell you this : There is a flu epidemic in the city of trees . At least thats what the "almighty" said , and from looking at the poor souls in the waiting room -- he's right .
So , if your dieing to get exposed to everything from the flu to "crotch crickets" , spend an hour in a waiting room . Don't forget to handle the magazines they are reading .

Re: Managing Costs

I am going to a court hearing on Wednesday where a podiatrist has been charged with violating ethics because he did not disclose that a patient was unknowingly entering into a $3,000 contract for braces. The patient had to pay $600 and the insurance company paid $2300. If patients were aware of the cost of medical care it might cut the cost of medical treatment.
