Best bicycle shop is Westby's in Meridian. Everytime I've needed help with real bikes they've got the expertize to solve my problem.

I had a problem with my bike in that the handle bars were loose and nothing I tried would work to tighten them back up. Mr. Westby recommend a new type of handle stem that held the handle bars better than new, and it was only eleven dollars. It worked and that's what mattered.

Another problem they helped me with was flat tires caused by goat head thorns. Between the teflon liner and solid rubber inserts, it made my tires virtually "flat free".

For the serious "bikers" only.

I was told by Ken's bike shop that the solid rubber tires actually put more pressure on the bearings, causing them to wear out faster.Keep an ear out for that rattling sound.

Ken's correct, but it's a trade-off; flat tires or bearings. For me, I just wanted to ride without having to carry a flat repair kit all the time.
