Re: Best place for a steak

The best place for steak is at Greenfields packing in Meridian on Ten mile and Amity. They will cut it right off the cow as thick as you want it.You can watch through the window as they cut it or have a seat if sqeamish. They also have pork and sometimes lamb.

We were wandering around the other day and drove past Goodwood Bar-B-Q. The smell coming out to the road got me .
We went in and had the Prime Rib Steak --- Best dam piece of meat I ever ate - you can cut it with a fork and it kind of melts in your mouth . -------------------------- Ah to hell with it we are going back NOW.

Re: Best place for a steak

I have a smoker and make my own barbecue sauce. I've done lots of meats but not prime rib. I hear its done but don't most people like prime rib rare? I was wondering if they asked you how you'd like that cooked when you ordered it? I'd have to say Texas Roadhouse is my favorite. I have the cowboy cut sirloin. I won't eat steak at applebees. You can taste the meat tenderizer on it.

They must cook it for about 3 hours at about 220. Then you have the ends well done and the middle rare. You must have to have roasts about the same weight or it would change on you all the time. I'm going to have to try that.
