Re: Migration

I would hate to be the kind of person that says "I told you so".
That kind of person really pisses me off .
So I won't say it ------------------------------ :

Re:Illegal Migration

To all red blooded American citizens:

If you ride a motorcycle, we want you to escort the 21st Century Paul Revere team into your state capitol this summer. Check the web site for dates and times. Take off from work for an hour or day or week; ride with the team; be a part of history; make Paul Revere proud; wear the T-shirt; tell your friends. Just imagine 1,000 or 10,000 motorcycles circling your state capitol demanding a stop to the illegal immigration invasion of America. They ride into 48 state capitols this summer to show you HOW to stop the invasion. Have Old Glory flying from the back of your bike to show your colors! This is going to be BIG! www.21stcenturypaulrevereride.us

Re: Migration

I moved out 4 years ago to go east and quickly learned that was a HUGH mistake. I want to come back to Boise in the worst way but cant find a decent job that would enable me to return....so count yourselve lucky Boise is a great place to live. They grass might be greener on the other side, but not this side.

Re: Migration

Well, here comes another Californian to your lovely state. Funny story tho... a friend of mine from CA was in Idaho ( up north of Boise ) when he walked into a convenience store looking for some snacks. He walked into the store and realized that everyone was staring at him. He went to the sales counter and whispered to the guy, " why is everyone staring at me like that ?"... the sales guy said, " I have 2 words for you.... FLIP FLOPS".... now whether it was true or not I still find it funny. I live in the Bay Area, near San Francisco and have all my life. I love it here. The weather is great 300 days out of the year. It doesn't snow where I live and there are 5 million people trying to go the same way I am on my way to work. It literally takes me 1 hour to drive 30 miles. Semi-Trucks and cars stopped bumper to bumper. This is everyday... sometimes weekends if there is an accident by some idiot driver going 90 to go past all the traffic and smashes into a line of cars. When I was growing up, it wasn't like this. The Bay Area had probably 2-3 million people spread out over the entire area. Since the early 90's, people have been moving here.. why ? At the time, it was affordable housing. Then the big real estate bubble came and us normal people who work regular jobs ( I work at a dental office and hubby is a mechanic ) can no longer afford to buy a home. We want the house, yard and to live where there isn't a murder every day in Oakland or San Francisco. I know I will have a reduced salary but moving there is our dream to have a nice life. Sorry but what is happenening to Idaho has been happenening to California for the last 30 years. And it will continue to happen for years to come.

* My brother moved there from CA and when he moved there, he went to Oregon to register his truck just so people wouldn't know he was from California.
