Should I expect English IV C & G to be similar to the others in time requirements and level of difficulty? Or, will this last one be a "doozy"? I'm trying to decide if we should spread out the C & G III course for the rest of the year or try to do the C & G IV course after Christmas. Ds would like to finish up with his schoolwork by mid-May. Thanks in advance for your help. Taunya <>< |

English I & II have more grammar, and English III & IV have more composition. With my dd, English I took the longest time to complete, and English IV took the shortest time to complete...she is a very strong writer and finds it relatively easy, and while the grammar wasn't exactly hard for her...she did find it somewhat tedious. As far as the level of difficulty of C&G 4 -- you can expect about the same increase in difficulty from 3 to 4 that you experienced from 1 to 2, and 2 to 3. I really think the student who makes it through the 3rd book is well prepared for the 4th. I don't think you should worry much about it at all. |
