Hi,
In your opinion, is U.S. History or General Science the easiest to read and comprehend for a young ninth grader? Blessings, Allison |

Hi,
I'm still looking for an opinion! |

I can't speak for General Science, as we did Biology, but the American History class was a bear! Boring text, and just a difficult class all the way around, in my opinion. My son despised that class, and I was glad when we finished!
Peace, Lisa |

Both dd and ds found Biology to be harder than US History and Social Civics to be easier than US History.
I would assume that the General Science would be easier than Biology, so maybe it would be on "about" the same level of difficulty as the Social Civics? In that case, I'd think General Science might be easier than US History, but it seems to me that we might be trying to compare "apples to oranges" here...lol I'm thinking that it will depend a LOT on the interest of your child. Which subject do they find most interesting? Science or History? Joyce |

My younger son likes science better than history. My older son did not like the AS biology. He dropped it.

In that case...I place my bets on the General Science!
Have your younger ds take a look at the Biology course to get his opinion of it...maybe he would like it? If he likes or even just kind of likes the Biology course, but doesn't want to focus strictly on biology, then the General Science will probably be a good fit for him. Joyce |

What happens when you drop a course with AS? Isn't Biology required for the diploma?

I've heard of people that have received 1/2 credit for completing 1/2 of a 1 credit AS course.
Biology is only required for the College Prep, not the General HS. Joyce |
