Algebra I is killing me and ds. He has just absolutely psyched himself out of this class! He was doing so well with SOS Algebra, and I was warned not to do AS Algebra, but they screwed up (long story) and he couldn't test out, as we had planned. He did ok in the beginning, but now is in a spiral downward, and I need to help him back up!
We even tried switching back to SOS, and he was doing pretty well, till he reformatted his puter, and forgot to save his files. Now he feels very defeated about the whole thing, as we will have to go back in and start over (not world peace, unless you are in a never ending class that you hate). I need someone to walk me through some things in the 6th Unit, if they could. If you could email me directly, that would be great. Thanks! Lisa indymom810@yahoo.com |

I have had a LOT of success using the Math Message Board
There are a lot of very "math oriented" people on there that will "walk you through" problems you are having difficulty with. I posted mostly word problems and received all the help I needed every single time. Joyce |

My children took Algebra from A.S when they were using the old Algebra books. I believe that A.S. have updated them, since then. From what I heard, one of the great things about the new Algebra books is that you can buy a solution's book from the publisher to help understand how the problems are worked. I don't remember the publisher's name but find the name of the publisher on the Algebra book and do a search on the internet to find their web page. Make sure, if you buy the solution's book, that it is the solution's book for that Algebra book. The ISBN on the algebra book should help to find the right solution's manual.
I hope that this helps.
