How to send a PM (personal message) to someone

This is one of this board's neat features:

To send a PM, click the "USER CP" link in the upper blue toolbar, then select the "PM INBOX" button. Then, click on "Send PM", and fill in the form as if you were making a post, except putting the person who you wish to send the PM to in the "Username" box. You can use BbCode in this area.

Please note that usernames are case sensitive. The recipient will recieve an alert box that they have a new PM, and will be given the option to instantly view it, or look at it later - no matter what Best Board they are on."

This is a nice way to send messages without having to display your e-mail if you wish or to just quickly send a note.

I hope more people will register and perhaps include just a brief note in their personal bio or at least their first name so we can attach a familiar name with the username.

You can also send PM's by clicking on the memberlist at the top of each board, and then clicking on "PM(member name)" for the member you want to PM. :color:

Thanks for adding that! :thumbsup: I had copied/pasted the info from the FAQs for the board -- and they forgot to mention that one! It's much easier your way!

Doing it from the memberlist area...you don't have to remember how to "spell" the member id! Something I'd have trouble with! :biggrin:
