Herbed Rice
2 1/2 C water or veggie broth 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1 C brown rice 1/4 tsp sage 1/4 tsp thyme 1/4 tsp finely chopped parsley 1 tbsp minced green onion 2 tbsp olive oil salt and pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 350 Prepare a baking dish with the olive oil. Add green onion and bake until golden.
Add parsley, sage, and thyme. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add the rice and water. Stir in the garlic powder.
Bake covered for 40 to 50 minutes or until the rice is tender.
Serves 4 to 6.
