Dining Room of Emperor's Palace OOC: Creeps, the Jedi's can be there if you want. IC: Most of the council was present, along with a couple of Gavin's friends. Dinner had just ended, and instead of the usual contests, the room was cleared for the Emperor's meeting. Cedric stood up, he was wearing a long half cloak, and a black military Houdian getup. The Houdian rune was evident on the shoulder of the cloak. Valor was strapped to the side without the cloak. He unsheathed the sword, and placed it on the table in front of everyone. "Nice toothpick." said Erik. Cedric smiled. "It is, isn't it. But that one, over there..." Scott Woldson walked up, and placed his masssive two handed sword on the table. It was easily longer and heavier than Valor, yet Scott had picked it up easily in one hand. "Nice sword." said Erik. "Yes, these two weapons have a similar background. They are weapons of power, fashioned within Houde, combining sourcery and technology. These were two of six." "Six?" said Artemis. "What are the other ones?" Gaspar spoke from the chair by the fire. "When Cedric acquired that sword, I checked history books for what is was. I found a page which had a drawing of that sword, and his." he points at Boar, " and four other weapons. They combined Houdian Magicks with Houdian blacksmithing. Six weapons of power. Gaspar leaned forward, the fire casting odd shadows on his face. "Six weapons, three swords, one mace, one war hammer, and one sickle and chain." "Sickle and chain?" muttered Artemis. "Sounds nice." "Yes it is. Each weapons was forged, and then fused with Houdian magick." "What excatly is Houdian magic?" replied Oliver. "Houdian magick is based on the belief of animals and humans working together." "Like my sister and her fox?" said Scott. "Yes, very similar. The animal represents the human, usually. These swords are very similar. Boar is aptly named, for the weapon's animal spirit is the boar, a creature of courage and strength, both of which the sword passes on to it's owner. But that sword has another name, Lifedrinker. You are very lucky you were of the correct bloodline Scott. Your ancestry must lap over the Lancaster line, for you to be able to wield it." "Lancaster? Who are they?" said Kenneth. The cat beast was leaning against the wall, his foxgirl girlfriend was leaning against him. "They were of noble blood from another country, which I'm trying to pinpoint where excatly. Valor's animal is the dolphin, an animal that deals with family.. It's true name is that of Diamondcutter, able to severe enemies, and keep its owner protected, hence it's healing abilities. Gaspar sat back in the chair. "We know they're forces looking for the other four weapons, we have someone on the inside, a friend of mine." "What are the other four?" replied Gavin, Shadow sat up, and walked towards Gaspar, and leaned aginst teh chair, trying to enjoy some of the fire. The fall chill was finally deepining in Calir. Gaspar stroked the direwolf's head absentmindedly, "Spiritwielder, the sickle and chain, also called Snake, after it's animal spirit. Forethought, a fencing sword, called Time. It's animal is the turtle, for the sword ia patient, waiting for the exact time too strike. Sindestroyer, Truth, is represented by an eagle. Lastly is Iceraiser, the warhammer, its animal spirit is the dragon." "Dragon?" interupted Yuki, "Man that can't be good." "No, most likely isn't, which is why we need to get these weapons before anyone else." "Do we have leads onto where we can find them?" "Of course, I'd be ashamed of my abilities of a researcher, if I didn't have ideas." "We should split into teams to search for these weapons." replied Cedric. ------------------------------------------------------------ "And, so it begins." said Sebastain, as he listened over a device his spy had planted. "Yes it does." said Lawrence, so shall we?" "Sounds good, intercept and get the weapons before them." EDIT: Changed Valor's animal to dolphin cause it fit better with its abilities. |

She changed into a heavy tunic, after first putting on several layers of a strong, silken fabric that was both lightweight, and extremely warm. (OOC: I have these 'long johns' made of silk that are crazy warm.) She then put on her woolen trousers and heavy boots. Grabbing her heavy cloak she said, "I'm already sweating! Come on, Mr. Shadow, you can look now, and it's time to go." She quickly tied her hair up into braids and they ran down to greet the others. ***** Brigid greeted Random Houdian with a smile and informed him they would be down shortly. Jaina was already awake. She hadn't slept much the night before. Brigid wasn't aware her friend almost left for Lavenrunz in the middle of the night. Somberly, as they quickly dressed, she said to Brigid, "If this weren't for the Emperor of Houde, I would have left in the night." Brigid looked her in the eye, "Fate has brought to you this task, and if you cannot seperate your personal issues from it..." "No, Brigid, I took this task. I will do our order justice." Brigid nodded at Jaina, and they stepped out of the room. OOC: OH, yeah, I brought Tang to the thread. Just wait until I do my thread on the Creeparian stock markets. |

OOC: MANJA! IC: After that he informs everyone on what they are taking to get to there destinations. Everyone either takes motorcycles out to the gates of Calir. There are three planes already parked there, four XT's, which gleamed in the pre dawn light. Oliver smiled, as he saw them. "The new models, eh?" "Yes, the mithril from Demoness should provide alittle more protection. Okay, everyone knows where they are going. Let's go." As Brigid enters the plane with Cedric and Scott, she turns arund to look at Artemis. HE hastingly puts something in his pocket when he noticed her looking. He hops onto the plane with his trademark weapon, and settles into the back seats. Cedric sits down, and starts the plane. "Ok everyone, buckle up, we're off." The four Xt's take off, and go to different directions in Houde. |

Her thoughts drifted to Ben, and she couldn't help but wonder how he could manage being an Ambassador; behind a desk, pushing paper. She then looked up at the other member of her party. *** Tenel was thoughtful as well, though she was happiest of all the ladies. She trusted her party, and was happy to be in their company. She gave Shadow a good scratching as she smiled at Erik. "This should be quite a challenge, eh?" |

Erik replied back, "Hopefully not, I don't want to see what is waiting for us. The mountain's surrounding the valley are to high to fly over, where going to need to hike it, so that should be enough of a challenge." |

I'm sure you'll be up to the challenge." Not that she too wasn't concerned, but she didn't want him to think she was afraid of the challenge. "I did quite a bit of hiking on my days off in Demoness. Never climbed any of the Creeparian cliffs, though. That's just crazy." She could tell Erik was not amused by her Pollyanna routine, and she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "A Jedi can get nervous too, you know." |

And so time passes on that plane. *** Erik laughed, "Ah little one, everyone gets nervous before a fight. Its human nature too, but not to worry, Cedric doesn't think we will run into trouble. Let me tell a story to pass the time..." And time passes on that plane. *** Oliver and Vincent didn't try to start any conversation on the way too Keel, were they were met by Andrea, who was on a boat. As described before, Keel was a very odd city, as most of the building were built out of the cliff itself. Boats, that were tied together, made roads to cross the river, and are able to be moved quickly to allow other boats to pass. People here are tanned, unusually in Houde, and mostly lowlanders and Creations. Before Oliver gets off the plane, he takes out a picture of a woman and a lady, kisses it, and places it in his chest pocket. Andrea met them on a boat, one that wasn't too big or too small. "Hey guys, how was the flight? Oh, who are you?" she says to Jaina as she pushes the boat to the middle of the river. |

To be fair to Jaina, her thoughts were primarily on Ben. The only thing she really thought when she saw Oliver's photograph was that she wished she something of Ben's to carry. "According to Yuki's radar, the entrance is 50 feet below. Be careful guys, who knows what's down there." On the floor of the river, staying in the shadow of the boat, was Lawrence. Vampires didn't need to breathe anyways, so Hall told him to follow the boat that way, and Hall will follow them via the cliff. Lawrence agreed after Hall said he would buy him new shoes. Stopped? Cave must be somewhere near then. Lawrence looked around and found the entrance. He walked towards the cave, and through the magic of a convenint boulder (a cardboard box would have disintregrated down here) he hid near the entrance of the cave. Oliver, Vincent and Jaina perched on the side of the boat, and after a quick wave from Andrea, the fell backwards into the icy water. Jaina followed as Oliver led the way, with Vincent inbetween them. They spotted the entrance of the cave, and swam inside. The interior was a simple tunnel, still filled with water. Eventually, the tunnel lead upwards, and the companions saw light. Emerging in the middle of a huge cavern, the light was reflecting off the crystals imbedded into the walls. Te cavern had air in it, and Oliver twaved a device. Upon seeing the results, he nodded, and took off his diving helmet and mouthpiece. "Enough air to breathe, where's this light coming from?" All three people freeze as a stomping sound is heard. Turning around, the see three statues coming to life, going to intercept them. |

Oliver charged the nearest statue, smashing his sword into the stone. Imagine him surprised when the sabergun stuck into the arm of the statue. It hits him with its other arm, sending Oliver across the room, where he rolled to try and absorb the imapct. Vincent watched the scene and charged the other one, keeping his swipes short, so the katana cut small lines into the body of the statue. Due to the low tunage, the crystals began to vibrate. |

At first what feels like a burning in his side is actually Jaina's saber slicing him in half. As the creature snaps in half, she says whispers in it's ear, "Don't fuck with Oliver." She moves on to help Vincent. Since the other two creatures saw what she did, though Vincent is distracting one of them, she know she won't be able to get the other two from behind. She runs right towards the one with the free time on his hands, swinging wildly. One well placed punch from that thing could kill her. She's just hoping to lob off a fist or two. |

Jaina's sword cuts cleanly through the head of the last wailing statue, ending the noise abruptly. Eerie sounding silence echoed throughout the cavern. The crystals on the wall started to shake. One came free and rocketed across the room, just missing Oliver. "I suggest we run." said the Captain, and he took off, towards a corridor. |

As they emerged from the tunnel, and into another cavern, they encounter a pedestal. On top of the pedestal, was a sword laid across it. It was a rapier, hardly any design to it what so ever. IC: Vincent grabbed the sword, and lifted it off the pedestal, the light went out. The only light being shed by Jaina's lightsaber. Vincent shrugged, and put his katana on the pedestal, and the light turned back on. "Easy solution." muttered Vincent, as he threw the sword to Jaina. "Carry it, it's talking to me, can't stand it." Oliver offered Vincent one of his saberguns, which Vincent took, and the group proceeded back down the hallway. He stuck his head out the tunnel, and saw that crystals had all fallen to the floor. He shrugged, "Seems safe enough." The group walked out, and fished around finding their diving helemts. Putting them back on, they turned and stared face to face with Lawrence. "Hello." is all he said, before bum rushing Vincent, moving quite fast. |

"I suggest we get back to Keel, and hurry, He's hurt bad." Several places Oliver was cut from fencing swords, he was bleeding badly. "That guy was as fast as lightning, then, when he could have finished off Oliver, he suddenly just left, laughing." Andrea set the sails, all three of them this time, and the group sailed towards Keel. There was a first aid kit on the ship, and Andrea used it to her best advantage to bandage Oliver up. It gave her something to do other than thinking about losing the sword. |

They weren't kidding when they said it was cold up here. Erik parked the plane off to the side of the mountain, and had to hike up the mountain. The first few miles were okay, nothing bad. Then the snow storm hit, and it hit. The type of snow that no matter what you do, hits you in the face, accompanied by the wind that saps away your heat, was not very good. But Shadow walked in the lead, followed by gavin, Tenel, and then Erik. Not much talking was going on, as everyoe conserved their strength to make it too the top of the mountain. Halfway there, Shadow took a small detour, and eventually found a cave. It was a simple cave, nothing extravagant, but it did do one thing, keep out the wind and snow. Tenel shivered for a good long while after they had made their way into the cave. Imagine her frustration when she stumbled back into the cave again. This time, it had new occupants, two girls, one with black hair, and one with white. Both of them were sleeping it looked like. |

Quickly, she removed the pack from her back, and began digging through it for the first aid kit. Kneeling next to him, she whispered in his ear so as not to awaken the girls in the other room. "Erik, its Tenel. Don't move." She snapped on some gloves and covered him with his cloak that she had been carrying and her own. The cold would put him into even more shock than he was already in. She elevated his feet and asked him if he was hurt anywhere else. (Mainly, is your spine injured.) She gently lifted his head, and placed a cloth under it. She then set to work dressing the wound on his chest. "Stay awake with me, Big Guy. How about you whisper to me what happened. Oh, and this is going to sting a bit." I hope he's not afraid of needles, because after this, she may have to stitch him shut. |

Groggily she stood up, and two hands grabbed her, definitiely Yeti. They dragged her through some tunnels, and placed her in front of a door, which opened, and led to a huge cavern. To say the cavern was cold was an understatement, It was completely covered in ice. In the middle of this huge cavern was a huge hill of ice, with a statue at the top of it. From this distance, Tenel can just tell that the statue is holding something up in the air. Tenel heard doors open to either side of her, and a groggy St. Nick, and Tempest appeared. Down the cavern the doors opened, revealing Nieve, Gavin, Erik, and Shadow. The direwolf was aggitated. A Yeti's voice was heard in the distance. "Oh, Great Rathegor, we offer you these souls to appease you and keep our paradise. The hill of ice shifted. |

St. Nick meanwhile got side tackle dby Erik, who was punching him in the face repeatedly when they hit the ground, cause he no longer had his sword on him. Gavin lloked around. "There's no way out Tenel, we have to stay, we gotta get the weapon." He threw her out of the way of a couple daggers. "Do they ever run out?" Tempest frowned, she had two daggers left, and decided not to throw them, instead she charged for some hand to hand combat. Nieve did the same thing, except she went for Gavin. Erik was knocked off of St. Nick by one of the wings. He flew across the floor, and skidded into the wall, quite hard. Why do I always get my ass kicked? Legs emerged from the mound, which collasped showing a two story high Drake, which screeched as it flexed its wings. St. Nick pulled out his guns, or what should have been his guns. Those damn Yeti, Wrath, get the weapon. The black coyote emerged from St. Nick's cloak, and ran towards the statue, which was on the ground now that the drake had emerged. |

The drake opened its mouth, and a blast of cold air slammed into all four combatants, sending them flying. The Yeti's cheered it on, chanting Draco and Rathegor. St. Nick's cloak wrapped around the nearest Yeti, sucking the Yeti into it. The cloak then spit out the Yeti, slamming it into another one. "Dammit, where are my guns!" |

It was several moments before they could move from the shock of the cold. Not to mention the nasty hit Tenel's backside took, she didn't know how much more fighting she could do. "How about you finish me off after we find a way out of here?" She decided rather than go for 'you don't want to kill me', she thought she'd at least try for a baby step. Peeling herself off the wall, she was thankful that the blast was at least cold. It congealed the blood on the back of her head from cracking her melon against the wall. And, there was Tempest... And the rest of the commotion. Stay coherent, Tennie...focus...use the Force. |

Wraith dug through the pile of snow, and finally emerged with a warhammer in it's mouth, and trotted towards St. Nick, thinking everyone else was occupied. Then it got side slammed by Shadow, sending the warhammar skittering across the floor, near Erik and St. Nick, both of which were having troubles moving. Tempest, who was surprised at the fact she stood up, was even more surprised at the fact that she didn't want to kill this person quite yet, Maybe I can use her to get out of the cave with? She didn't move as she considered. Gavin was up on his feet, and his axe was leveled at Nieve's head. "Don't move." said Gavin, obviously favoring his right side. Wraith became a sticky black mess around Shadow, threatening to suffocate the direwolf. |

Teh cavern started shaking. The drake struggled to get back up, and was hit again by Erik, encasing it in ice. It's struggles ceased. Erik crossed the cavern's distance, and slammed his hammer into the ice encased Drake. The ice split apart, cracking itself as well as the drake. Erik howled with glee. Wraith had separated form Shadow, and slowly made its way to Erik. The cavern was falling apart, Gavin was near Tenel, knocked out, Shadow struggling to his feet. The twins were gone, and St. Nick was still knockled out in the corner, across the room from Tenel. |

Inside. Erik's mind was on fire, he had power, extreme power to do anything he wanted. He needed to find balance, but that was impossible in the rage of his mind. He, unlike Scott, had no Lancaster blood in him, therefore couldn't control the power of the sister weapon of Boar. He didn't even feel it when Wraith jumped through him , the fire in his soul to haot to feel any cold. He did feel it when his hand fell off. St. Nick stood there, holding one of the Yeti's dioscarded weapons, and had sliced off Erik's hand. Erik howled in pain, and slammed the hand into a patch of snow, to try and stop bleeding. St. Nick simply picked up the weapon and ran for it. Tenel waited sometime, and eventually Erik came out of a side cave. He had wrapped his hand in a bandage, and the blood had already soaked through it. He collaspe too. Things weren't looking to good, were they? |

She cauterized his wrist with her saber. She pulled Gavin next to Erik to keep the two of them as warm as possible. She trembled, the world was growing dark and she couldn't tell if it was because the sun was setting, or if a shroud was covering the insides of her eyes. "Please, you two...wake up...wake up." And where was Shadow? At least he had a fur coat. If he made it out, he would hopefull survive the night. Trying to stand, she collapsed next to Gavin and Erik. The back of her head hitting the snow, staining it with her blood. Now they're really in trouble. |

Shadow had gone for help. Horner Dess was doing his own run over the mountains, trying to get a ship,ent of Bowker pineapples, and the new Catgirl Lust perfume to Keel as quick as he could. He dared to go over the winds of these mountains to get it there. He saw Shadow a few minutes after the winds had died. He lowered the plane and followed Shadow to the unconcious people. He then got to Keel post haste with his new valuble cargo. Tenel woke to warmth and sunlight. Jaina was standing over her, as well as a blond haired girl. "She woke up, finally, it's been two days." said the blond haired girl. |

She started running towards the tree. Its a good thing for her that she was magic immune, cause she felt nothing stepping onto the pure soil. When Kenneth and Benjamin stepped on to it, both of them felt as if they had their breathe taking away. Ghosts were floating around them, telling them that they were wrong, the being alive was wrong, and they should end their pathetic lives now. Kenneth already had his knife out and was about to impale himself with it, but Yuki tackled him out of the circle of soil. She then dragged a protesting Benjamin, who kept saying he was not worthy of life. When the Creations finally got control of themselves, Yuki simply stated, "Stay here, I'll get the damn mace." "Not fair." muttered the Estavian as she ate up distance between the two. Her job was a distraction as Yami tried to get the sword. Kenneth was watching the fight with anticapation, making punches, like it would actually help. "Come on girl, hit her left side." said Kenneth. Benjamin, being the smarter of the two, actually saw Yami making his way towards the tree. "YUKI!" he screamed, "THE TREE, SOMEONE'S GOING FOR THE WEAPON!" If Yuki heard, she made no indication she did, and blocked the sai's with her saberguns, both of which where swords again. "I don't think she heard me," replied the bear beast to Kenneth. "You got your own problems to worry about." said a deep voice behind them. Kenneth and Benjamin turned around and saw Daniel Stripes, a massive tigerbeast standing there. "Vat brother." said Kenneth, his hackles rising. "Long time, no see." "Yes vat brother, but it's time we play some more, like the old days." The two Creations charged each other. |

Kenneth's and Stripe's fight could be explained simple. They were tearing fur, biting and clawing at every available oppurtunity. The stoic Benjamin watched this, wondering when he could actually help. If he interfered now, he'd probably hurt Kenneth sseeing the two Creations were so entangled. Yami flinched as the bullet hit the tree near him. He turned around and saw the foxgirl get tackled by the Estavian. He turned back around, and his eyes slowly got big. The tree, it's bleeding.. |

It's only been a day since Tenel had fallen asleep again. She had woken up from the coma, but not to pleasantry like in the normal world. No, a huge explosion woke her up from her reverie. The Carnival had wounded at least two people from the Council, and they came to finish the job. Lawrence was a blur as he used his inate speed ability to place explosions around the edge of the hospital, causing the supports to explode, tilting the building. It hung precariously over the edge of the cliff, peering down to the Nathaniel river. OOC: See I can post! |

Tenel nodded, strangely coherent, managed to get a baby or two in her lap, and followed the others out of the building. Jaina ran down the corridor towards the ICU. When she got there, she noticed the various IV's Erik was hooked to. "Guess she could have wheeled those for me..." She set to tethering the polls to his bed and began wheeling him down the hall. Another explosion went off, knocking debris everywhere. She covered his face with a sheet, and kept running his bed down the halls. The stairs would be tricky, since the elevator was out. |

Stairs where out of the question now, the only way out would be through a window. Cause, again, of story physics, and placement of characters, a lobby window was right there, and they went through it. Just as the building let go, and tumbled. They didn't have far to fall, only a couple feet, landing with an audible "ompf". Not everyone made it, but all the important characters did, Tenel did have a kid on her lap, who was hugging her. Other kids where pulling at Shadow's tail. Gavin had to break it up quickly before the direwolf decided it had too much of the rough play. So, basically, the scene was oddly amusing. Screw that, a hospital just fell down in to the river. |

IC: The building went down, and as it did, Jaina instructed everyone to cover their faces (dust, debris, etc.) After a few moments, Jaina turned to Oliver and said, "Do we dig for survivors?" Tenel held the child, who's parents were grateful to her. After they took him, she wheeled to Gavin, "We should get as many of us out of here as possible to make way for the rescue workers." She then wheeled to Erik. She hadn't seen him since that night on the mountain. He looked plain awful. His face gaunt and weak, she covered him once more with his sheet, taking a long look at where his arm had been severed. "I know how it feels, Big Guy." She and Gavin set to work on getting everyone out of Jaina and Oliver's way. Tenel's head began to swoon and pound with pain. |

Yuki grutned as Tabitha slammed into her, and dragged her to ground. Yami reached for the mace. Kenneth went for the throat of Stripes. And then, the ground shook. Tremors, knocking everyone down, shook the area. Wind, promising destruction, flew across the land. Clouds gathered, turning day into night. Everyone tensed, looking around warily. And then, the tremors stopped, the wind died down, and the clouds continued pass. Son of a bitch... tthogh Yuki, and she was the first to recover and get to the tree, grabbing a hold of the mace. And thje tree grabbed a hold of her, sucking her into it's depths. |

She didn't even flinched and walked straight through it. Tricks and illusions protecting the sword of truth, how apporiate. She continued for a ways, ignoring all the other "traps" that appeared. She even walked across a lake of molten fire that had no bridge, unless you could smell that the molten fire was actually colored water. Eventually she reached a cavern, and within it laid the mace, shedding its own light. This time Yuki inspected it first, finding that this was another fake, and the trap rigged to it would hurt anyone. She examined the room, and found a false wall, and with opening it, she found another mace. Again she resumed her inspection and found nothing wrong with this one. She picked it up, and of course being magic immune, she couldn't tell if this was the real one or not. She made her way back to the surface, emerging through the tree. There she found Kenneth in tears, sobbing over her death. She walked up behind him quietly. "You done? Let's get this back to base, see if it's the real one." Kenneth super glomped Yuki, causing the mace to fall from her hands as she slammed on the ground. "YOUR ALIVE!" he shouted, completely stunned and happy. "Yes I am, let's get outta here." Benjamin grabbed the mace, and suddenly went still. The same voices as before were telling him he should die, his life is a lie, etc. He went to hit himself with the mace, but Yuki snatched it first. "I'll hold on to this, at least we know it's the real one. Let's get it back home and to the base." Yuki was concerned though, she didn't think Kenneth noticed it, but when Benjamin had held the mace, an eyeball had opened up in the base of the weapon. Magic, blah... EDIT: It's a mace, not a sword. Kill me now, me no smart. |

But that changed today. "Sir, I can't get closer, the winds are to great." said Scott, who had flown the plane most of the time. "Sure Scott, land it, everyone, grab your climbing gear." said Cedric. The plan landed, and going outside was a like being thrusted into a wind tunnel. The wind howled around them, threatening to push them back, but not succeeding, but always just on the edge. The more you pushed, the more it pushed back. |

The climate seemed odd to Brigid. Houde, though not by much, was still a slightly warmer country than her own...but this wind! Such a bite to it...let alone it's strength. It just didn't seem natural. She strapped on the hiking gear and followed the others. |

In the mountains, it's always freezing. IC: Brigid's question was lost in the wind as the quartet made their way too the cliff. Reaching it, they set up there climbing lines, and proceeded down the cliff. Unlike the cliff, the wind pushed them against the rocky wall, making going difflucult. Cedric pointed to a hole in the cliff, and they made their way to it. Eventually they reached the hole in the cliff, and got inside with little troubles. Strangely enough, the clave had little wind in it, compared to outside. |

The cavern they needed was farther down, yet the wind was making it tiring work to get there. Artemis stayed in the back of the cave, simply examining it. A few bats squealed at them, but unlike the other ones, this tunnel wasn't booby trapped. The stair case lead them to a cavern, which was another huge one. In the middle of it was a sickle attached to a chain, on top of a pedastal. Other than that, the cavern was quite normal. Numerous other entrances could be seen. Artemis' eyes grew wide, "Wow, it's beautiful." |

No one seems to hear her, so she just keeps her eyes peeled. She didn't like the looks of this, and she didn't like the fact that the Emperor was on their trip. His life must be guarded at all costs. "Scott, sword out, something can't be right." Artemis had started to drift towards the unusual weapon, It's so much like mine, I could use it too my benefit. Yes, my benefit. Artemis broke off to a run towards the weapon. (OOC: He's about 50 to 100 feet away from Brigid when he does this.) Another entrance, near to the group was two men. Both of them stepped out. One was smoking a cigarette, the other was a huge man, bigger than Scott, who was flexing his hands. "Hey Banjo, looks like we got here right on time, take them out." The giant of a man started forward, his steps sounded massive in the cavern. The other man put his hands in front of him, and they were adorned by gauntlets. And wind started to sound throughout the cavern. |

IC: Looking above her, she found what appeared to be a solid enough stalactite for the moment, and lept upwards, clinging on to it. She first drew an automatic weapon, and pointed it at the two intruders; however, she was prepared to drop infront of Cedric at any second. And yes, saber at the ready. But not in her hand. The stalactite was slick. Which was fine, she didn't plan to need it too long. |

Unnatural light filled the cavern, illuminating everyone. Time seems to slow. Artemis held the weapon in both hands, the chain was attached to the sickle, and to a ball on the other end (a la Anubis' weapon in Ronan Warriors). He twirled the ball around. He flung it out at Banjo. Even though the distance was greater than the chain, it seem to make more chain to cover the distance, and slammed into Banjo, throwing the big man across the cavern. He jerked his hand back, the ball coming back towards him, becoming its original length. Time resumed. "Artemis, let's go." said Cedric, holding on to Valor. "No." "What?" replied Cedric. "Don't you wonder how they knew everything?" "They had a...." Cedric whipped the sword out, "YOU'LL PAY!" "I don't think so Cedric, in fact," Artemis angled the blade of the sickle towards the emperor, "I think you should be quaking with fear." Red lightning exploded out of the weapon, slamming into Cedric's chest flinging him against the wall, the smell of burnt flesh evident. Artemis laughed, and threw the sickle into the air, twirling it, and the cavern was covered in complete blackness. Brigid's light saber was casting the only light, which she could only see what was idrectly in front of her. After a few seconds, the unnatural darkness lifted, showing Scott, who was fine, over Cedric, who was getting back up. Artemis, Banjo and Dave were gone. |

Cedric was seated in the conference room, with the remaining councilmen, minus Gaspar, who was still on White Island. "Gentlemen, we have a problem." he said, and looked much older than his twenty years. He didn't shave, and the beard that had develop gave him the illusion of looking older. "They have three of the weapons, and we have three. As for Sebastian's next move, we have no idea." "They also know everything that Artemis knew about the secruity of this place." said Oliver. "And most of New Hope, since Artemis had wired most the buildings." said Yuki. She still held the mace, whenever she let go of it, the others around her would suffer from visions. "Gaspar would know what to do." said Kenneth. "Granted, but he's not here," replied Cedric "And we must be prepared for anything. We need to amp up secruity of this place, and change everything Artemis had access too. And we need to get on this now." Before anything happens thought Cedric. Things weren't looking good. ------------------------------------------------------------- Sebastian looked over his crew. They acquired three of four weapons, which was commendable, but not great. Hall had handed the rapier to Lawrence, saying the sword told him too. And then, he picked up Iceraiser, and now harnesses that sword. No one challenged Artemis' claim to Spiritwielder, for him and the sword were the most compattable. Soon, he'd send out his warning. No one could stop him now. |
