I don't recall seeing a year time. I think 6 months is the max. Also, you can buy game cards for it. I'm not sure how expensive they are, but I believe they're for 3(?) months of play. Yes, I'll agree with Amethyst Butterfly. It's worth it. Come to Cenarion Circle Server.

Waesel: it should be somewhere around 12,99 a month, 11,99 a month for a three month membership and 10,99 a month for six months. That's all in euros. I got the info from here but it's from November 22nd so it might be a bit out of date.

I have never had to wait to buy abilities on my mage, but my hunter has abilities that I can't afford yet that are three and four levels below me.

One thing that's expensive is ammunition, because hunters go through a *lot*.. unless one plays a melee hunter.. but what's the point of that... That's where engineering comes in handy, because you can make your own bullets. Of course, then you have to make guns.. which are expensive in their own right... Yeah.. they're expensive. And so are warlocks. They have to buy abilites for their pets. That's where having a 'cheap' class as a partner comes in. My GF is playing a shaman, so hopefully, if they're cheap, I'll be able to get 'skill money' from her.

I haven't heard that shamans are that expensive.
However, I hope she didn't take enchanting, as that's the most expensive tradeskill of them all, and it takes a long time before you can use it to make a profit.
I don't know if this applies to Alliance, but for the horde, you can make Deadly blunderbusses through engineering, and sell them quick for 50 silver a pop. (There's a level 20 something quest that requires you to get a deadly blunderbuss, therefore they are in high demand horde-side).
Edit: Oh, and Kudos to you for playing a troll. And again for getting a turtle pet for your NE hunter.
[Warning! Opinionated and offensive rant up ahead!]
I swear that half my server consists of female night elf hunters with cat pets. I want to grief them all, but they won't flag up, whenever I challenge them to duel, they start ho-dancing. Sorry, lady, dancing like a pointy eared trollop does not make you want to gank you any less, it has the opposite effect. [1 edits; Last edit by Count_Arioch_the_28th at 10:37:10 Sat Jan 15 2005]

Thanks. I'm enjoying the turtle. I named him Honu. He eats bananas. I'm probably going to name my Troll's turtle Lakota. On my server (Cenarion Circle), at least in Alliance Territory, I can't sell a rifle to save my life. My NE also engineers. I personally think it's one of the best professions for a hunter because you'll always be using it to make your weaponry, whereas leatherworking goes right out as soon as you can wear mail, and there's really no point in forging because you'll only be selling what you make (except for weapons, I guess, but engineering is just so much more useful). My girlfriend is going to be leatherworking, because shaman wear leather and it'll help my hunter out, too, for armor and for leather needed in engineering. There are a lot of racial hunters, as I mentioned, that have 'traditional' pets, which is why I wanted something different. I agree about the female NE hunters and the cats, though. almost every female NE hunter i see has a cat, even the ones in The Order of the Wolf. Oh, and you'll be happy. I don't 'ho dance' with Forissa. Although, many of the male NE population 'crotchgrabs' near me and obviously wants me to. [1 edits; Last edit by Jhulae at 11:42:55 Sat Jan 15 2005]
