The question is simple. Does the practice of Christianity exacerbate mental illness?

Re: Does the practice of Christianity exacerbate mental illness?

I know this is going to sound like I'm trying to be vague, but I am not.

The answer is sometimes. If someone is prone to dellusions, then the answer is sort of. If God does not exist, then they become more mentally ill. If God does exist, then the are simply recognizing the truth.

Also, mental illness is kind of a catch all phrase. For example, does exacerbate OCD? probably not. Does it exacerbate Bipolar Disorder? I have no idea.
