BTW, I am not meaning to make generalizations against the big city people. I'm sure there are some very nice people who live in the big cities. I think it's just that many big city people have had their group of friends from kindergarten - so many seem to have forgotten how to make friends. So that's why newcomers tend to feel out of place. Rural people are generally more welcoming of newcomers. --- Canada rules!

We are still pretty close to each other, but we live near a lake and a river. It's definitely more rural than urban, though. We have a strawberry patch and a raspberry patch in our yard - along with a patio and a swingset. ---

Renee's family lives right across the street from ours, actually. Also, our roads tend to be gravelled rather than paved - and we have no sidewalks. We always hang up windchimes on our porch door during the warmer months, and we also put out those things that turn in the wind. It's really nice in our area. ---
