Right, hatred can be very destructive - and, when you think about it, we have too much hatred in this world already. Yeah, there are people that I'm not especially fond of - but I don't hate them, and I would never wish harm to come to them.

Right on, AWC!
I mean, 'hate' is such a strong word ~ and I do make it a point to not hate anyone. There's some people I don't care for, yeah ~ but hate them? Naa!

Luke: 18 1-8 The Parable of the Widow and the Unjust Judge Then Jesus told the parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart. Jesus said "In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor had respect for people. In that city there was a widow who kept coming to him and saying, Grant me justice against my opponent. For a while he refused; but later he said to himself, Though I have no fear of God and no respect for anyone, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice so that she may not wear me out by continually coming. And the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says.. and will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long in helping them? I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? 8:27p I will be back to finish up.. ![]() Cheers!

That's a great parable! It really gives us a lot to think about. I always make it a point to help those who are in need.

I think being a Christian is not so much following a set of rules, but about having compassion on those in need, and being a friend to everyone. I think it's mostly about living as Jesus has lived. I do disagree with how Pope is adamantly against same-sex marriages. That and abortion are the two hot topic issues among Christian Evangelicals. I myself don't like the idea of abortion, but people need to understand that it's not a cut-and-dried issue. That's all I'll really say on that, for now.

I feel uncomfortable talking about 'Gay'.. suddenly, we bring peoples 'privacy' to the forefront.. 'Gay' is 'sexual preference'.. Heterosexuals don't sit around talking about being 'heterosexual'..
anyway something like that.. it's makes me blush.. I did 'reflect' on the above text for Luke.. I didn't write anything out. I thought, let's just go with the thought of the moment. I made out ok reading.. stuttered on,... so that she may not I think I recovered ok.. I don't remember exactly what I said.. I let my 'inner voice speak' I introduced, 'And Today's Gospel Reading is Luke: Chapter 18 Verse 1 thru 8 The Parable of the Widow and the Unjust Judge And then I looked up at the congregation and said something to the effect, We should listen to what Jesus is telling us, Jesus is talking about the Power of Prayer and never giving up hope. We should reflect upon this (I looked over at Emily Fox) while we listen to Emily Fox speak of her story And then I read the text. It's sort of a blurr as.. I am very shy.. The ending.. was rather powerful... And when the Son of Man Comes, will He find Faith on Earth? If Jesus were to land in North America.. we'll go with Toronto.. Would He find a 'Faithful Society'? Cheers!

I think Trudeau was right, when he said that what goes on in the bedroom should not be of any concern to the government. One thing we Canadians (and Americans, too) can be thankful for, is having the ability to live in a free country where we are guarenteed freedom of choice. When people want to try to deny rights for two people have the same gender, it's contradictory to the very concept of a free country.
If something doesn't harm other people, there should be no laws against it.
