Rolling Stones ( 04:42:15 TueDec 6 2005 )

12/6/1969 - Four people died during a free concert given by the Rolling Stones. One of the deaths was a stabbing that occurred near the stage. The event was recorded and released a year later.

12/6/1970 - "Gimme Shelter," the documentary film about the Rolling Stones' 1969 tour of the U.S. debuted.

I kind of do wonder if it was a coincidence that the documentary was released exactly a year after the tragic deaths. It probably wasn't - it was probably planned.

It would seem planned to me too. I guess some people might view it as a commemoration and others might find it offensive. If it were my relative, well, I don't even want to go there

Yeah, I can understand where some would see that as offensive. It was a bit tacky to release the documentary on the same date the following year.

I agree that they should have picked a different day to release the documentary. I can only imagine how the friends and relatives of the victims felt about it.
