I guess I should start by introducing myself - even though everyone here, so far, knows me. Still, since this is a different board, I may as well.
I am a 14-year-old girl named Serena Lynn Hoffman. I live in the Buffalo area in New York - and I live close to the Canadian border. I do love Canadian music, a lot. My favorite band is the Tragically Hip. I like both classic rock and new rock - even though I don't like much of what came out before 1975. Most of my friends are Hip fans, too - and I'd say that there is a large following at our school. I also love Blue Rodeo, Pilate, the Headstones, the Tea Party, Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, April Wine, Harlequin, Saga, Kim Mitchell, Max Webster, Rush, Triumph, Tom Cochran, Red Rider, and many others. I do like some Nickelback and Sum 41 - but I wouldn't say that I'm a huge fan of either. I guess that's all, for now.

 I'm 15 years old. I live near St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. My name is Amanda Smith. My favourite artist is April Wine. I listen to mostly classic rock - but I do like some newer rock, too. I am also in favour of seeing Canadian music go international. I'm sure there are more Americans who like Canadian music - than many may realize. I am very surprised to learn that the Tea Party never made it international - since they're music is similar to Led Zeppelin and the Doors - two bands that are much loved by Americans.

Hi, I am another American that likes Canadian music. My name is Christina Marie Krebs, I am 18 years old, and I live in New Jersey.
One thing I do find to be increasingly frustrating, is how there is so much pressure in this country to be 'patriotic' - actually, more like 'nationalistic'. It is my belief that we are all citizens of the world - and the friendships should not be constrained by boundaries. I am still very pissed off that the two-dvd set of Toronto Rocks only got released in Canada. I wonder who was responsible for releasing the dvd set, anyway. Anyway, despite the fact that I don't like cold weather, I am seriously considering a move to Canada. Besides, it can't be much colder in southern Ontario than it is in New Jersey, anyway. BTW, my reasons for considering a move to Canada do go much deeper than Bush's re-election.

The Trews are a new and upcoming rock band here in Canada. I'm not sure if they've managed to break though into the States, yet - or not.Anyhow, my name is Simon Nicholas Garfunkel - yeah, my parents were very clever in naming me. I am 13 years old - and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I'd say that my favourite Canadian artist is Blue Rodeo.
