The music in the movie and game

I think most of you will agree that the music that they picked out for this film was very well done. I bought the sound track and I like all the songs on it. That's rare to say of any album. I even like the country music that is in it. The lyrics fit so appropriately or the feel of the music helped set the tone for certain scenes. One of the most amazing parts and it was country music was Doc's race around Willy's Butte. That's easily my favorite part of the whole movie and the music made it all that more amazing. you get to see Doc's secret exposed and how talented of a racer he is. It's been a long time since I've seen a movie done with a sountrack that had lyrics during the movie and the lyrics told the story. This used to be common in 80s movies then they quit doing that and got into the bad trend of releasing CDs with songs that weren't even in the film. I'm so gald they did this in 80s style. Real Gone and Life is a Highway are great examples of the music telling the story.

The music in the game was very good and fun too. My favortie songs from that were White Knuckle Drive, Best Looking Guy In Town and High Speed Heist. I do love techno and the fact they gave the Delinquents such a cool techno piece was just great. :headbanger:

You are absolutely right, the soundtrack is just awesome. And I didn't like country music until Cars.
All the music fits perfectly to the scenes, and for the first time, I can say that I like all the songs on a cd

The soundtrack is awesome and all the songs just take me right into the movie itself as if I were a character.

Have you guys heard the original version of Life Is A Highway? That was one of my driving songs back in the 90s when it came out. I had a tape I'd made of "Driving music" that had car themes and well it was always in my car stereo. I only remember Life Is a Highway being one of the songs.

Re: The music in the movie and game

I agree with all of ya, The music is just plain awesome. They fit into certain scenes perfectly. I always like country music since 10 years old  It helps to sooth my mind :tired:

The only question is why didn't they put "Rollin' in the Rearview" (The DRH scene song) in the soundtrack? from my opinion it is part of the soundtrack as well, since that it's from an important scene in the movie. Or maybe they just don't want to put a rap song in the album....... :um:
So I copied all the song from the cd into my computer and add the "Rollin in the Rearview" right after the "Life is a Highway" just like in the movie. It fits perfectly!

Re: The music in the movie and game

Hehe, actually I can't stand rap and am glad that song got so little air time. I wish they'd included Doc At Willy's Butte and Song Bird which is the song that DJ played to make Mack fall asleep. I think it was KennyG who played that. I love it since it's an all instrumental piece. I'd classify it as jazz. I took the Willy's Butte music off of the game and made a nice little mp3 out of it for my sountrack of the game. Speaking of the Delinquents scene. I used their footage in my Speed Tormentor video and it's cool to see them set to metal. have you guys seen that yet? The link is in Ramone's forum.

EDIT: I see my video has been taken down. They are only up for about a week I think. I'll see about getting it reuploaded.

Hi! I was wondering if I could get the song DJ plays, Rollin' in the Rearview, from you? It's impossible to find, even on Google, and trying to find it for download is much harder. If you could, I'd REALLY appreciate it. My email is ohnoitskyleg@catt.com. I really hope you get this message!

The music in the movie and game is great, especally in the game, the music on the Highspeed Highway Heist rocks, and I just love Best Looking Guy in Town (heh, that would defently fit Lighting IMO) and Free Ride. They defently seemed to know which songs to pick for the movie and game.

Hi, I'm Andy Bai, I'm new here. Nice to meet everybody.

I'm also a fanatic of "Rollin' in the Rearview", and I'm having a difficult time finding it. Both Google and Limewire aren't giving me anything.

Can anybody send me the song? My email is SkateBoyRunner@hotmail.com. Thanx alot!
